We just had a geothermal system installed by Bostech in the fall of 2023. When we contacted them a year earlier to inquire about it, John Bosman was very patient answering all our questions, providing estimates and accommodating what was required for us to get the Greener Homes Loan/Grant in place. After the horizontal drilling was done over two days by a subcontractor, the installation of the system and all new ductwork in our house required about a week and a half of solid work by Rick (the technician/foreman) and his crew, and we were so pleased with the job they did. They were really nice guys who consulted with us on all aspects of what they were doing and listened to any issues that came up (ie. I have chemical sensitivities and requested a different product be used as a glue/sealant). They found solutions to navigate ducts through a pretty convoluted old house with tricky electrical work, and left the place clean and tidy; their workmanship is top notch. The system works flawlessly (we have now have fabulous heat and air conditioning reaching all parts of our big old house now, and the pump is whisper quiet compared to our old roaring furnace) and Bostech did not surprise us with any hidden costs, in fact the bill came out to be a little less than they quoted. We were happy with how John and others at Bostech listened to any concerns we had and addressed them, and their overall responsiveness and professionalism. I would highly recommend Bostech Mechanical to anyone looking to install a new geothermal system - we are so glad we chose to work with them.

We just had Bostech Mechanical install a geothermal water to water heating system in our house. All the people we came in contact with from the moment of getting a quote to the commissioning of the installation were professional, knowledgeable and very responsive. The technicians who installed the system were definitely masters of their craft. We could tell they cared about their reputation. The technicians did a very clean and precise job. They even discovered a deficiency with a previously installed system(by a different contractor)and corrected it. I have nothing but praise for the entire team.

Bostech Mechanical installed a geothermal system at our home early this spring to replace an aging propane furnace, air conditioner and propane hot water heater . Finding enough space for the ground loops was a challenge due to the location of underground electrical, buildings and trees, however the Bostech team did an excellent job creatively fitting everything so it worked well. Installing ground loops does leave turned up soil that will require landscaping. We were prepared for that and now that the grass is growing again, you cannot even tell where the loops are.
We were able to take advantage of the Canada Green Homes Grant to offset part of the cost of the geothermal system.
We are very happy with our geothermal system so far. Operating costs appear to be significantly lower than heating with propane and our home is more comfortable. The Bostech team was very professional, both for the installation of the ground loop during a January snow storm and later when installing the geothermal unit and hot water heater inside our home.
We highly recommend Bostech Mechanical based on their professionalism, their willingness to answer our questions and the quality of the products they sell and install.

Rob came way out of his way (literally) to help us with our geothermal which had a refrigerant leak - rather than trying to patch it, he cut out the leaking portion and replaced it, tested it, and recharged. In addition, he checked the loop pressure, capacitors, relays, etc - everything that a really good service call should include. He worked efficiently and really knew what he was doing - the best experience we've had with geothermal servicing in well over 10 years.....We will definitely want him to come back!

We recently had Bostech upgrade our heating system from a very old oil furnace to an inground heat pump and we couldn’t be more satisfied! From top to bottom everyone at Bostech has been very professional, helpful, and willing to work with us to come up with a system and installation that meets our needs.

It has been a pleasure dealing with them, everyone was courteous, and at the end of everyday the jobsite was left in a clean state with no mess to deal with. The job was planned out thoroughly so that we all knew exactly what kind of work was to be done, what the time frame was, and what the finished results would be. They worked efficiently, orderly and communicated well with us regarding the status of work and any questions that came up.

The new system has been working flawlessly and what a difference it is! I went from worrying about the old heating system everyday and maintaining a supplemental pellet stove for heat to barely giving the heating a second thought. Plus, thanks to their system we now have air-conditioning which this house has never had, and it automatically switches between the two! Truly a modern, hands-off system -never having to worry about fuel quantity/price or changing from heat to a/c is a very big perk.

All in all, they are a very professional team that made the job go smoothly. We highly recommend them and will happily look to them for any future work that we need!
