Bryce and Barb designed and built us the house of our dreams, within budget and on time. They made the process fun and easy. They have a ton of integrity and have built solid relationships with local trades and are both so handy themselves, things that are invaluable when it comes to keeping the build rolling along in this climate. Their sense of marrying design with flow and function is unparalleled. I would not consider another builder. They are the real deal!

As a local Realtor in the Cowichan Valley I have the pleasure of looking at new and pre owned homes everyday for a living. Having Black Tree Developments as a client was a treat to say the least. Representing their product for sale at 6097 Sansum in the Properties was a great enjoyment for me and my partner Layne. Both Barb and Bryce were wonderful clients. Their building quality, their passion, their level of perfection was only surpassed by the enjoyment of working with the two of them daily for a number of months. The level and pinnacle of construction is really second to none and I am impressed to say the least based on homes I see daily.
Happy to represent these guys and work with them and know 100% the end users...the new homes owners...will be pleased they chose Black Tree Developments as their Builders.

Wonderfully responsive, beautiful designs and handywork. We first hired Black Tree a few years ago to build our library, and immediately thought of them again when we wanted to re-do our outdoor space. They gutted our above-ground pond and used the foundation to construct a deck with pergola. It saved us money to reuse what we had and turned out beautifully. They rolled with our changes, thoroughly researched structual questions we had, came up with thoughtful design touches we hadn't even imagined, and followed up with us even months later to ensure we were satisfied. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat!
