Worst post-buying experience ever. Aside from the overall poor quality of the home, the service from best buy is even worse. All we get is excuse after excuse as to why they can't come back and fix any deficiencies. It's been 5 months since delivery and nothing has been fixed. Some repairs are weather sensitive and NEED to be done. Once they are paid they could care less. Do your research and learn from my mistake DO NOT buy from these con artists.

The original purchase of the unit was decent, delivery was on time and good, from there it has been a complete joke. We fixed our furnace ourselves on their request, took 6 months to get reimbursed, we have windows that were laying on the floor at delivery and they still have not replaced. Their people who come do the service are very good, but aren't supplied with the materials they need to fix. It has been 3 trips and we still don't have a bedroom window. The unit was delivered Aug 15 last year, and they still can't get a window. If there was a zero star or lower rating for follow up service, it would be that without question.

Would like to share with you our experience with Best Buy Homes. To say it was horrendous is an understatement. We found the park model plan that we liked and placed an order with Best Buy and signed a purchase agreement. We were given a approximate delivery date and decided to sell or existing unit. After several delays the manufacture decided to add an additional 10k to our purchase price even though we had a signed agreement. We were told that it was due to an increase in cost of construction materials even though we had a signed agreement that obviously means nothing to them. We were told to either pay it or give up our unit. Wanted to take them to court but we would probably still be in litigation. We paid the money but felt like we were being held for ransom. Our unit finally showed up late and once we got inside the manufacturer did not have the decency to even clean it. We are speaking up now because our warranty is now up as we were concerned that Best Buy might reneg on our warranty. My review gives a one star as it does not accept a zero star that they deserve. I will though give cudos to Pro Mobile as they did the warranty work that was required in a timely fashion.

Best Buy has the worst customer service after the house was literally launched off the trucks! Sales part of it was pretty good, although many things were missing that we thought we were getting. Handing all the money upfront 7 days before your house is delivered is horrid. They basically dumped off the house and have not even made any attempt at trying to rectify the issues. 3 months we called and left messages and not a call back, and then after a complaint, Bernie did call back and now nothing again for over a month. It has now been 9 months and nothing!!!! I will never recommend this housing company to anyone. I guess they do not bank on any repeat customers, just take the money and run, that’s what it feels like. Sadly we are pretty laid back people, and they have made us extremely angry. Our home didn’t even have joist hangers supporting the floor, only put on with nails. The house started to separate and we had to pay somebody to fix this problem as it was pulling apart everyday. Make sure you do your homework, I own a small business and I know that customer service is a no. 1 priority, this company can’t even acknowledge you 😔

They may be the biggest retailer of modular homes in the country, but Customer service is lacking. I drive 2 hours each way, twice, to view the homes. They are very nice. I really, really wanted to buy one model in particular. I emailed the sales associate three times and never got a response. I got an email from their marketing guy about a big sale, so I replied and explained my situation. He apologized and told me another guy would call. I mentioned that I worked until 6pm, and asked if the new guy could call after that. At 4 pm the next day, Bernie called. I explained I wasn’t able to take the call at work, which is why I requested a call after 6. Never heard from him, or anyone again.
Makes me wonder about the response I would’ve gotten, or wouldn’t have, had I shelled out the $200,000+ they wanted. Clearly, I’m looking at other sellers now. I guess they are just too big to worry about satisfied customers. What a shame. I loved the product.

Darrell was so helpful and kind when we showed up to view some of the trailers. I had my 18 month old (who is a handful) and he was so gracious and patient while we walked around the show homes. Thank you for such a positive experience 🙂

Worst experience ever dealing with these guys. Cant believe they are still in business the way they operate. Shady Salesman, was extremely rude who I am still fighting to get my $500 "refundable deposit" back. He lied to me, and only came out honest after I wasted 7 hours of my time driving down(3.5hr there and back).

I was looking to upgrade to a newer trailer, but wanted to put it on my existing piles. I was also planning to put an addition on. After seeing their kijiji add I responded. Knowing that often uploaded pics and video might not be the specific home, I asked him repeatedly if what he was selling was exactly what was in the pics and video. He told me the video was of the exact trailer I was buying. I wanted to be sure of this because It was a long drive down to Airdrie, so I made sure that was clear between the both of us. I told him I will need a wiring diagram, and also information on putting in a door where there was an optional door.

Well needless to say after driving 3.5hrs to Airdrie, Kitchen lighting, Kitchen Island, skylight, were not on the home. Which is the whole reason why we liked it. When I confronted him about the discrepancy on the kitchen island, he immediately raised his voice to yelling at me, telling me that is was my fault. So rather than yell back, I politely asked him, what else did he "tell me" what was not included. When he didn't mention lighting or skylight, it confirmed that it was him originally lying to me.

Regardless we were 1.5month away from our potential move date so were motivated to move forward. He pressured us into putting a $500 "refundable deposit" down, to hold it because 2 more people were coming that afternoon to buy it. Of course I put conditions that it would be compatible with my pilings. It took 3 weeks for him to get back to me on a moving quote, piling diagram, and information for the addition. By this time all the other movers I got quotes from had booked up their schedules, not to mention his moving quote was twice the price of the next highest quote. It really left me unsettled about who I was dealing with, I couldn't even imagine if I had to deal with them over warranty or any major issue. The pilings were not compatible, and needless to say I am still waiting for my deposit back. I know these guys sell the A-1 homes out of Airdrie too. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere

After some misunderstandings Im pleased to say we are HOME! Bernie and Daryl (Sorry if spelling is incorrect) went above and beyond for us! We are excited to get our new washer and dryer. Thank you from our family, for our beautiful home.
