I can't recommend Benji Dittrich Construction highly enough. For 16 long years I lived with a leaky basement. I dreaded every Spring.. knowing that soon enough I would have a river flowing through the unfinished part of my basement. Over time, the leaks were getting worse and eventually water started migrating to the finished parts of my basement. Early on, I stumbled on Bonnie and Benji's website and was so impressed by the detailed diagrams and explanation of what was going on around my house, that I filed away the link for later.

I knew that digging around my over 100 year house would be an expensive project. With a poured cement patio on one side, a driveway on the other and retaining walls supporting every square inch--I couldn't imagine how I would ever afford to get the job done without destroying precious gardens and breaking the bank. At the same time I knew that if I cut corners or went with a more inexperienced company it would cost me more in the long run. When the time came that I could wait no longer, I immediately called them.

Let me just say that from beginning to end Bonnie and Benji were a dream to work with. First Bonnie came by and walked me through everything, explaining the pros and cons of different approaches (internal vs external weepers), and giving me a lesson on the physics of basements and water while she was at it ☺️ Of the two other contractors that came by, none came close to Bonnie in terms of explaining what was going on and how we could tackle it. Soon after, she came by with Benji, who took as much time as Bonnie did, explaining everything in detail and just generally being awesome. Very soon after we received a very detailed, reasonably priced, professional quote which was refreshing and reassuring to see.

Once they secured the permit, the work started and Benji and his crew were here at the crack of dawn, working all day long for 6 days straight. I have to say Benji’s crew was also awesome. It’s the little things that matter.. when a shrub was dug up, I’d find it placed neatly in the backyard for me to rescue if I wanted to; and I really appreciated how careful they were with all of the tricky aspects of my property; even putting things back (like part of a fence) when he didn’t have to. When I went outside there were always people working with a smile on their face happy to answer any question I had. All in all, just a fantastic experience. To top it off, they were done the entire perimeter of my house all the way down to the footers, rubber coating and blueskin w/weepers and all in a staggeringly fast 6 days.

And the cherry on top? I can't wait for Spring 😀

I recommend Benji Dittrich to anyone with a basement issue of any kind. If you want the job done right the first time and by an extremely kind, funny, and knowledgeable crew, call Bonnie and Benji. 10/10.

Once we confirmed to use their services, they had the job completed within a week of starting. Everyone was very pleasant and worked very hard in the hot temperatures. We contracted someone to do foundation repair last year which ended up being basically useless because they could not cut through the rock to install a trench and sump pump. This year, Benji, Bonnie and their workers attacked that rock like there was no tomorrow. They have been professional, honest, and very, very thorough. The job was very dusty and noisy, but even with the insane heat, caterpillars and dust, the workers were relentless. If you have foundation problems I can't recommend this company enough! And I can assure you that you won't be disappointed with the service.
