Alto Towers is an excellent property with great management, clean facilities, and a very convenient location. The apartments are well maintained, and overall, it’s a comfortable place to live.

My only concern is that the building allows animals, which may not be ideal for those who prefer a completely pet-free environment. Aside from that, it’s a fantastic place to call home.

I’ve had such a wonderful experience living at Alto Tower Apartments! One of the standout features is how dog-friendly it is, which is so rare for a newly built building. The place is always so clean and well-maintained, which I really appreciate. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, and I especially want to shout out Dragana. She made the whole move-in process so smooth and easy, answering all my questions and helping with anything I needed. Honestly, every member of the team is lovely. The apartment itself is massive—it doesn’t even feel like an apartment! It’s spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend Alto Tower Apartments to anyone looking for a great place to live!

Moving into Alto II has been a fantastic experience. Dragana has been incredibly helpful during our move-in, especially since I relocated from Alberta to Ontario. It's great to have such a supportive hand while adjusting to a new area. The staff has been excellent in addressing any questions we've had, and the residents have been very friendly. I also appreciate how pet-friendly the building is, and the residents we've met all have well-behaved pets, which is a big plus for us. The building is located in a friendly neighborhood, and the surrounding areas have been perfect for our daily walks with our dog. It’s also really convenient having a No Frills just next door—only a short walk away!

I’ve been living in this apartment for a while and overall, it's a great building in terms of structure and amenities — definitely one of the better-quality buildings in London. The location is excellent, close to everything you need, and the neighborhood is quiet and safe.

However, the biggest issue is the change in property management. When the building was managed by York, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. Since the management was transferred to [Capreit], unfortunately, the level of service has noticeably declined. Maintenance is slower, communication is poor, and overall, things just don’t run as smoothly as they used to, which is quite disappointing.

Another concern is the rent increase. While many rents in the city either stayed the same or even decreased last year, mine was increased by 5.5%, which felt unfair and frustrating.

I hope the management takes these concerns seriously, because the building itself truly has great potential.

STAY AWAY! NO customer service, booking of elevators not honoured, no hot water on weekends, intermittent garbage chute service (aka always out of service). Poorly made related to noise transfer from beside and above unit, safety issues related to lack of snow removal and ice melt applied. Bike room broken into and management didn’t make tenants aware and then tenants told not our problem and deal with your insurance. AND the prices they charge are NOT correlated to quality of service received. ONLY good things are dogwash station and dog park and views. Many other quality options in London before subjecting yourself to these buildings.

I’m Too Old for This Nonsense (And So Is This Building)

I’ve lived through a few decades, a couple wars, dial-up internet, and raising three kids — but nothing prepared me for the daily circus that is Alto Towers.

This building is marketed as “luxury.” Luxury? Ha! I’ve seen gas station bathrooms cleaner than the front lobby here. You walk in and it smells like a mix of cat pee, dog poop, and the bottom of an ashtray. And what’s Milana — the “manager” — doing while all this is happening? Sitting behind a desk, glued to her phone like it’s a life support machine, mumbling away in some language that ain’t English while the building falls apart around her.

The elevator breaks down more than my back. Buttons are fried, doors stick, and when they finally do fix something, it’s like duct tape and prayers. Don’t even get me started on the leaking roof or the moldy “sky lounge” — they act like it’s some penthouse perk when it looks more like a mildew breeding ground.

They charge over $2,600/month and can’t even clean up the dog crap in front of the door. I watched a poor woman’s kid wipe out in the hallway, slip on water from a leak that’s been ignored for weeks — and Milana? “I’ll get to it.” She’s been “getting to it” for half a year. She says the cameras don’t work. Says she’s “too busy.” Too busy doing what — ordering new office furniture while the garage smells like roadkill soup?

No security, break-ins happening, random people smoking in the stairwells — but sure, let’s focus on repainting the walls no one asked for. I didn’t survive the 80s just to deal with this in my golden years.

This place is a joke. A very expensive, very unsafe joke. Management needs a wake-up call — and someone upstairs needs to remember that tenants paying this much deserve better than lazy excuses and broken promises.

FALSE ADVERTISING AT ITS FINEST – THIS IS NOT LUXURY LIVING

Alto Towers markets itself as luxury living — but if this is luxury, then mold, rats, and dog crap must be the new standard.

I’m a university student paying $2,600/month to live in a place that’s absolutely filthy, unsafe, and run by two of the rudest managers I’ve ever met — Milana and Dragana. They’re either locked away in the office scrolling Instagram, or chatting loudly in Serbian while ignoring every tenant concern. And yes, they always seem to smell like a mix of cheap perfume and zero accountability.

Here’s what this so-called “luxury” building actually offers:
• No working AC for 4 months during a heatwave
• No heat for 5 months during winter
• 11th floor smells like weed and cat pee every single day
• People drink and smoke in the stairwells with zero consequences
• Garbage rooms constantly overflowing, reeking through the halls
• Parking garage is a nightmare — mold, trash, stains, dog poop, even rats
• Dog feces sat on the front mat for TWO WEEKS, including over Canada Day

Meanwhile, management does nothing but take every holiday imaginable while leaving the building in complete chaos. They don’t represent tenants, they don’t represent Canada — and they certainly don’t represent “luxury.”

This building is a scam. The price, the marketing, the promises — all fake. Save yourself the stress, money, and mental breakdown. Do. Not. Rent. Here.

The staff is friendly and proactive, especially the building manager. She’s on top of everything and helpful. All the staff here are just trying to do their best to accommodate us and help us. We appreciate it a lot.

The biggest downside is that the garbage collection is very loud for 20 minutes twice a week at 6-7AM. It will without doubt wake you up if you live on the East side of Alto I. Even if you’re awake the noise is uncomfortable. Repeatedly, huge metal containers are picked up then smashed against the ground. The noise is truly deafening. If I had to choose again, I would not live here solely based on this so please take consider this before signing a lease here. I note however that this is the city’s responsibility, not the buildings, so nothing can be done.

Also, even though the building is in concrete itself, I can sometimes still hear my upstairs neighbour talk, pee, flush the toilet, walk, etc., especially at night.

The apartment was sparkling clean when we moved in. The very close proximity to the NoFills and Shoppers is great.
