I really regret purchasing my new house from Akash. I had so many problems with this house since I moved in the first week. From there it went from bad to worst. From leakages to other very expensive repairs and deficiencies that they would not get fix under their warranty. They started my rough grading and three months later, it is still unfinished when Akash told me that the rough grading work would takes only 2 days to complete. I would not recommend this home builder for anyone. Please stay far away from this home builder while you have the chance to do so before you make the same mistakes as I am and so many other home owners who posted their honest and truthful reviews here. In fact, you can drop by my house and I would be more than happy to show you their poor workmanship they did on my house. Nobody wants to post negative things online against any business unless the company is not fixing/resolving problems with their clients. Instead of explaining to you what the problems I had to deal with, I am posting real photos to show everyone that photos don't lie. I have been living in my new house for about 3 months now but now I just want to sell my house because this new house is so poorly built. I am considering class action lawsuit at this point.

I am absolutely in love with my new (OTIS-Z Model) home here in the new community of Hotchkiss SE. Built by Akash homes, I’d like to thank you for creating this stunning open floor concept home. It emotionally brought back memories of my childhood home as the layout was very similar. I knew this was the perfect home the moment I stepped in: Very bright with tons of sunlight, spacious, white kitchen and the most perfect flooring color I can ask for, cute little rear deck, and no neighbours from behind, great location…All in one house.

I want to especially thank Brandy and Neild for all their hard work and being so patient with all of my questions/emails. A few items needed to get done after moving in but Akash Homes and the warranty team have been excellent with follow ups.

*0/5 Stars - Disappointing Experience with Akash Homes

I'm extremely disappointed with the service provided by them for our new home. Despite promises, the driveway is still not finished even after 3months past the possession date. They assured us it would be completed within 45 days of possession, but that commitment wasn't met.

The condition of the road in front of our house is unacceptable. Uneven surfaces have led to severe water drainage issues, resulting in mud and sand covering the road, making it impassable. This isn't just an aesthetic issue; it's a significant inconvenience that affects our daily life. We're unable to park our car in front of the house due to the mud and sand, and the pathway still isn't completed.

The situation has become even more serious. My husband recently fell down on the road when he went outside to try and safely rescue our car from the mud. This incident highlights the safety risks posed by the current state of the road and driveway. We're worried about the potential for further accidents.

To make matters worse, the incomplete driveway means we're unable to park our cars in the garage, leaving them exposed to the elements. With frequent hail warnings in our area, this has become a significant source of stress for us. We're unable to sleep at night due to the fear of vehicle damage from hail, which is an added anxiety we'd never anticipated as homeowners.

I've tried to reach out to their team twice to report these issues, but they don't seem to be taking our concerns seriously. After my repeated attempts to escalate the issue, they simply stated that they would "get in touch with the field team to work on it." There's been no follow-up or clear plan of action provided.

The lack of attention to detail and failure to meet promised timelines is frustrating. As homeowners, we expect a certain level of quality and service from our builder, especially considering the significant investment we've made in our new home.

Unless these issues are addressed promptly, I would caution others against working with this builder. I hope they takes our feedback seriously and makes necessary improvements to their construction process and customer service.

If you want a poor quality finished home, then go to Akash at your own risk. I would never ever recommend this builder. I do not even have the time to waste writing up my concerns about my experience with this builder as my time is more valuable. Buy at your own risk.

As it turned out, the most unpleasant thing that happened to us this year was buying a house from the company AKASH Homes. It's a pity that one star is the lowest rating, a star needs to be given for something. This company, as I believe, has no reason to. We have been forced to correspond with their employees for a month and a half now, begging them to correct the shortcomings and poorly performed work. If I start to describe our entire story, I'm afraid I will go beyond the limit here. In my gallery there are almost 90 photos with work that we consider poorly performed. I will post only some of the photos and videos here. Now to the point.
1. Rude communication from a supervisor named Blake of the Akash company.
When we first came to accept the house, the supervisor and I made a list of the issues that we noticed right away (crooked walls, poorly painted walls, holes between the laminate and the wall, windows that closed very poorly, mosquito nets that were the wrong size and color, no electric doorbell on the wall, they simply forgot to run a wire inside the house to the bell and install it, now they need to dismantle the wall, leaking plumbing, etc.). We were promised that everything would be fixed by the next visit. When we came to accept the house, it turned out that half of it had not been fixed. We did not receive a clear answer as to why this happened. The supervisor was very rude, my daughter was scared by his tone. I asked him for his manager's contact information to figure out why the issues had not been fixed, but the supervisor just left without saying goodbye. We were rescued by a realtor who was in the house, he passed on our request to the management. The supervisor's manager contacted us and during the meeting he saw all the defects himself and promised that the company would fix them. Then representatives of the warranty company came and said that they would not fix the crooked wall from the outside, that this is normal, to which we objected that their colleague, Blake's manager, had previously told us that this wall was subject to repair and they would decide how to do it better. We still have not received a clear answer from the warranty company. We have scheduled another meeting, I hope that something will change.
2. Terribly crooked walls inside. There are many of them, but they only agreed to fix one. We are waiting ....
3. Several windows simply do not close normally. The reason is the crooked profile of the sash and frame (bent in an arc) when closing, they catch on each other. A small window in the kitchen jumps when closing.
4. The chipped edges of the countertop in the bathroom, which they told us they could only cover up and would not change, the same story with the broken doors on the kitchen set.
5. The drywall in the hallway is screwed in different planes. (Blake refused to do anything about it during the first meeting)
6. The crooked walls of the facade, damaged gutters and much more.
7. In my opinion, the foundation for the garage was poorly poured concrete. The photo shows that the reinforcement is not in the concrete but under it in the loose foundation preparation.
8. Akash is also building next to us. The supervision of the site is terrible. The materials are just lying around, not secured in any way. During the wind, a sheet of drywall flew off this site and damaged our siding and broke a lantern on the house. You would think that this should teach us something, but no. Now it's all the same, everything is lying around and waiting for the next time. The builders from this house put garbage with food waste wrappers near our house, the wind blows them away, and then I collect them in front of our house. We really regret that we bought the house from Akash. It costs us a lot of money, and in return we get this.

The warranty service provided by Akash homes was one of the best amongst the builders that we have bought houses from. We moved into our house in the winter and in the spring we noticed that our driveway was badly chipped. We send an email with our concerns and the builder replaced the entire driveway concrete with new concrete within 2 months. Even after two winters, our driveway now looks brand new.

In our opinion Akash Homes focuses on structural integrity, functionality and value for money.

I recently purchased my new home through Akash Homes and I had a great experience from start to finish. Marianne the realtor was very friendly and helpful throughout the process. Steve the site supervisor was also very friendly and great to deal with. During the walk through he explained things very well and he noted some minor things that will be fixed. After possession I also noted a few things and received a very quick response when I reached out about them. So far my experience with Akash Homes has been very positive and I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a reliable builder.
