Peter did a wonderful job designing our family cottage on Lake Simcoe and we couldn't be happier. Our goal was to build a cottage that was durable and low maintenance. As a result of the design we have had 0 issues or maintenance over the last 8 years ( built in 2015). He designed the building out of icf, the roof out of steel and the windows designed for 50 year life span. From start to finish, he and his staff were there for us whenever we needed them. We can't make a stronger recommendation for an architect especially if you want your structure to resist aging and only look better with time! Thank you Peter and the Lattag team!

Peter was the architect for our custom home build (4800 sqft). This was a massive project. We met several architects and design/build experts and Peter won our business with his uncanny ability to listen to our needs (detailed as they were) and put them into a drawing that we fell in love with. From one long meeting he was able to understand our needs and put them into a drawing that met our style and respected our build budget.
From start to finish, Peter was always available and immediately accessible. He helped navigate issues as they came up and always had a solution available.
We felt especially confident when our very experienced builder (of over 800 homes) told us that he had never worked with such accurate drawings.

I would like to share how valuable Peter’s guidance has been in our renovation project. We have an older row home built in the late 1800s. The house had many issues that needed to be addressed, it was a small space, and we needed more room for our growing family, it is built at-grade with foundation issues, and in need of a complete update and overhaul. Peter’s knowledge and experience with the structural aspects of what needed to be done and his expert design skills were invaluable throughout the design of our project. He guided us through a process that we were completely unfamiliar with. This included first deciding on a new layout for our home and the different option available, towards guiding us through the more technical aspects of what we needed including HVAC, and ultimately to the permit stage where he provided us with very detailed drawings. He is extremely responsive and offered help, guidance, and advice throughout the time we worked together. He is also a really nice guy! Peter of Lattag Studio was extremely helpful at every stage of what turned to be a very very complicated project. I was gutting a large 70 year old home and needed someone to provide the right plans and know-how to make the home open concept, modern and functional for my family and I. Peter patiently answered every question. He did a ton of revisions (sorry Peter!) because I regularly changed my mind. Even after the permits were received and the job completed, he still helped me out by drawing a helpful sketch in a matter unrelated to the scope of his retainer.
Peter ended up being right every time. His rate was competitive. He understands everything there is to know about building/renovating a home - from underpinning to the roof and everything in between.

This letter is written with great pleasure, in reference to the work completed by Peter Latoszek of LATTAG Studio Inc.

Our project entailed the building of an addition above the garage as well as a complete gut and remodeling of most of the original interior of our home.

Peter worked with us on the design, structure, HVAC, and plumbing. Because of Peter’s vast knowledge and diligence, it made our project fun and easy. Peter completed all the drawings in a timely fashion; with ease and poise.

After our permits were obtained, Peter did not forget about us. He reached out to help with referring very skilled contractors. Peter went beyond his hired scope of work to assist with our project. He worked with us every step of the way. When our town inspector needed clarification, Peter was available with answers to his questions. This made everything run smoothly and effortlessly.
