Mark Davies of Davies General Contracting Inc and his team of experts were an absolute pleasure to work with.

We contacted him in January with the hopes of renovating our main floor living/ dining room and kitchen - including stairs and floors to the upstairs bedrooms.

Mark replied to my request within hours and set up an appointment to come meet with us.

From our initial meeting to planning our project Mark shared ideas, strategies and pricing in a timely manner.

Mark provided us with many options and choices when looking at products. ie flooring / kitchen cabinets and has an eye for details on the little things. He was able to capture our vision and make it happen.

His communication skills, workmanship and professionalism is second to none.

His team was on time/schedule as predicted from start to finish.
He sent us weekly, sometimes daily updates including photos of jobs in progress as well as ones completed.

Our home was turn key ready to move back in within the time frame provided and we could not be happier with the end results.

We are absolutely blown away by the work Mark and his team at DaviesGC has done for us. Our main floor project kicked off in Feb 2024 which consisted of a full demo, new flooring, new electrical, pot lights, popcorn ceiling removal, backsplash, a custom range hood, paint, trim, stairs, and the list goes on.

From day 1, Mark presented himself very professionally, was honest, and was a genuine pleasure to work with.

Mark provided detailed weekly updates as to the current phase of the project and what trades will be in next. We enlisted the services of Davies General Contracting to gut and redo our master ensuite bathroom. This was our first renovation and we were nervous. However, the process with Mark and his team couldn’t have gone smoother. Our bathroom turned out amazing and exactly as we envisioned, with the help of their in-house designer.

Mark was excellent at communicating. He kept us abreast of what would be happening daily and followed through on each item with care. He was readily accessible and extremely responsive when we had questions, including after the job was done. He accommodated any last minute changes we had (eg we swapped out a shower head last minute and wanted a new shower door for another bathroom). Mark stuck to the contract, budget and timeline to a tee.

The demo crew (Rob, Ashley) took great care of our house and saving items, when our old bathroom was taken down. The quality of the workmanship of the various trades personnel, including electrical ,plumbing,drywalling, and painting, including touch-ups, was excellent. We had a lot of tile, and Clay did an amazing job setting it. We appreciated the attention to detail (eg they measured my shampoo bottles to ensure the shower niche would accommodate them on their own, checked where we wanted towel bars placed etc). The team was punctual and cleaned up the work site each day. Mark and team member Tyler regularly checked in to see the progress. We appreciated having our ducts cleaned after the work was completed as well.

We are thrilled with the result! We wouldn’t hesitate recommending Mark and Davies General Contracting to anyone looking to do a renovation.

I especially appreciated that Mark would not let a new tradesperson come to my door without being there to make that introduction. From my first contact with Mark he was very professional. I hired his company to renovate my basement, new garage doors, new front door, new roof and painting of our main floor. All of his trades that came in to do the work were professional, clean and respectful of us living through these renovations. Mark would text me and keep me updated on the work that was being done and who was coming to work on the house. He would always answer my questions or would get back to me as soon as he found the answers. Erica his interior decorator was great in finding light fixtures, carpets and bar fridge.
