Other companies that I contacted were definitely more expensive and had suggested cheaper components that I was not happy with. Ben worked with me to select the best available components and panels. I’m leaving a review to let everybody know that Superior Trades did a fantastic job on my solar panels. I got ahold of three companies that only did solar installations and Superior . One local and the other two were bigger companies, living in Rock Creek the bigger one’s said I was to remote and the other local company didn’t even return my calls and also went directly to their store and no buddy called me. Superior was eager to help and came out to Rock Creek to have a look and an estimate. Ben’s quote was in line with other quotes but was the only company that was willing to come to Rock Creek. Superior was a great choice, the installation went very well , panels all straight and level , the job looks awsome . I’m very particular but didn’t have anything to complain about. The guys cleaned up like they weren’t even here and one of Ben’s employee was injured and they still got the job done on time. The solar panels work great and I’m able to monitor their performance . Extremely happy and highly recommend Superior Trades for your solar panel needs

Wow! I am thrilled with the service provided to me by Superior Trades. Ben has helped me out in many emergencies. My hot water tank gave up and he immediately came and installed a new one. His crew has installed new outlets and undercabinet lighting which is just fantastic. I've had a bathroom totally renovated by Superior Trades and I am so happy with the results. I would only recommend Superior Trades if you are exceptionally wealthy. My experience with them involved requesting an estimate for replacing light fixtures and superflous exterior cables, which unexpectedly turned into an on-site appointment with much back and forth of scheduling. Ben conducted a walkthrough of my house and subsequently provided a quote that lacked essential details regarding the required hours and materials. The quoted amount was exorbitant, leaving me stunned, particularly because it was based on assumptions, as he never inspected the fixture wiring to be replaced.

Subsequently, I requested that an electrician be sent to perform the relatively straightforward task of replacing light fixtures and be paid on an hourly basis, rather than the much higher project rate. However, it seemed like the electrician was instructed to work at a leisurely pace, as the job took much longer than expected. It became evident that this company prolongs even the simplest tasks to maximize both the hours worked and the final invoice amount.

I've had identical work performed in a unit of the same age with more fixtures, and it was completed in significantly less time. The explanation that additional wiring needed to be changed still did not justify the excessive hours and expenses, and the incorrect wiring was neither shown nor adequately explained to me, leaving me in the dark regarding the need for extra time.

I believe that if I had opted for a fixed (much higher) project rate instead of an hourly rate, the job would have been completed in two hours, as opposed to the seven hours it took.

It's also noteworthy to mention that you will be charged $65 / day for a permit fee for the work to be conducted - which also was not included in my quote but left as a surprise when I recieved the invoice. The vehicles they use are equipped with GPS, which means you might be invoiced for the time the vehicle spends in your driveway regardless of chatting and actual work being done.

Ben’s personal work as a master electrician is exceptional and I would recommend him personally as one of the best electricians in the south Okanagan. I recently had Superior Trades come to my house to install a new hot water tank. The job was done quickly, quietly and with no mess! While they were here, I mentioned something about my kitchen sink and Ben was back later, after his other calls, to try and fix it. He went to great lengths to fix it. Unfortunately, to finish the job, the problem had something to do with outside drainage. He called in Wilf to help. We couldn't get the lid off that tank for years. We tried tripods, crowbars, and ratchets. Wilf had it off all by himself!!!! He said, "Where's there's a Will, there's a way!!" Lol The problem is fixed now and everything runs smoothly! I will certainly call them if I need any plumbing or electrical work! Thank you Superior Trades!!
