They are also kind to handle special requests. In my case, I couldn't receive checks as I moved countries and they were kind to send my deposits via e-transfer.

The place itself is clean, well-maintained, and in a great location, very close to my Uni and it’s exactly what I was looking for. Really appreciated the professionalism and support. From a students perspective, it was not an enjoyable experience. I lived at 251 Lester street for second year and have very few positive things to say about my time there. When I first moved in, there was a mountain of garbage on the floor from the previous tenants, a broken leg on the table, cabinets without handles, and stains everywhere. I sent in quite a few requests, but because of “more important matters”, I was told it would be dealt with later, which it never was. When I saw my room for the first time, there was an empty beer bottle on my floor, and hair all over the mattress. I had to clean all of this. There was an issue with paper towel being flushed down the toilet that I did not do, but was given notice that I owe 200+ dollars. According to them, the paper towel ruined the entire septic system in the building. On more than one occasion, the water in our unit was not working and we did not receive any notice. This was just my personal experience, so be weary. I would recommend looking elsewhere. On a positive note, the people at the front desk were genuine and nice people.

Tumi was incredibly helpful with the whole process of signing for an apartment. She always responded quickly and made sure I had all the information needed. Everything was done very quickly and with a high quality! Lucy was so helpful during the move in process when I got my keys. She did everything super fast and truly made it so easy and made it stress free!!

My experience renting with Rentcorp at 251 Lester Street has been absolutely terrible.

The unit is in shambles, with ceiling leaks and other maintenance issues (such as no hot water) occurring at least once a term.

There has been an ongoing ceiling leak since December 20, 2024 that has not been fixed. 4 of the photos were taken today and show the dilapidated condition of the unit.

The last 2 photos were taken in February 2024 and show the ceiling damage due to leakage from units above.

When I voice my issues to Rentcorp, they tell me that the repairs are not within their authorization. When I asked Rentcorp for the contact information of my landlords to discuss solutions to the ongoing issues, they do not respond.

Do not ever rent from Rentcorp!
