During the design process, the team took time to understand our priorities and hopes for our kitchen. When we decided to change plans, the team quickly shifted their focus and incorporated any ‘extras’ we added into the plan. We could not have imagined the number of decisions we would need to make. Sara and Jayden gave us options without overwhelming us and helped us to develop a plan that met all of our needs. Then they made it beautiful!

We were incredibly impressed with communication throughout the project. Emails were responded to promptly, questions were clearly answered, and through the approvals process, we knew each feature that was included in our kitchen. We found the Buildertrend app really helpful to see schedules, messages, and invoices.

During construction, some adjustments needed to be made. These issues were quickly brought to our attention and we were presented with possible solutions. We felt confident making these decisions because the team had already thought through the options. We also appreciated knowing who would be in our home each day. Josh, Scott, and Nick were professional and respectful. We were impressed with their attention to detail and level of craftsmanship. They also took time to answer our questions and cleaned up the space before leaving for the day.

In the end, we have a stunning kitchen that functions well for our family. We have already recommended Catalyst to others and would have them back without hesitation.

Andrew & the group at Catalyst do amazing work. I hired them to re-build a ramp at my business, and it was an intricate job that took many modifications - they had it built in less than a day and put some great thought into how to improve it from previous builds. We recently hired Catalyst for a major kitchen and living room renovation, and we couldn't be more impressed with the entire experience. From start to finish, they exceeded all of our expectations.

The design process was incredibly smooth. Andrew and Sara took the time to understand our vision and Sara offered the perfect design suggestions that blended the modern concept we wanted with finishes that were durable enough for daily life with our young kids. We appreciated how she listened to our thoughts while also providing her own insights to ensure the space was both functional and beautiful.

Communication throughout the project was outstanding. Nick kept us in the loop every morning to let us know what to expect, and any questions or concerns we had were addressed quickly and thoroughly.

When it came to the actual work, the attention to detail was incredible. After the sub-contractors installed the cabinetry we thought it was done perfectly, but the next morning Josh and Ben immediately caught things we hadn't noticed, and had the contractors come back and re-install. Without that knowledge it would have taken us months to notice, but they caught it within minutes. The level of craftsmanship is evident in every corner of our kitchen and living room, and it shows.

I think what honestly sets Catalyst apart was the customer service, specifically how great the team was with our kids. We lived at home with a 5 and 3 year old through the reno, and every morning Josh and Ben took the time to talk with the kids and always made them feel included. Our 3 year old would get excited every morning when he heard them arrive and would race down to talk to them. At the end of the day when they were going home they would always take the time to ask the kids how their day was. They were so patient and kind with the kids, its the kind of small detail that made a tremendous difference to the kids experience throughout the whole process, which made all the difference to me as well.

The finished kitchen and living room are absolutely perfect – it’s everything we envisioned and more. We’ve already been recommending Catalyst to friends and colleagues, and without a doubt, we will be using them again for future projects. Highly, highly recommend!

Love, Love, Love my new kitchen!!
I chose Catalyst Contracting solely from their ratings, I didn’t know anything about them prior to that.
The company did not disappoint.
All the staff was professional, courteous, friendly, approachable, attentive to any and all inquiries.
The response time was amazing.
We had some minor glitches and some delays (for which one should be prepared for with renovations).
In the end my new kitchen is simply perfect!
Catalyst is going to, without any doubt, get my future renovations.
If you need a contractor, do not look any further!!

We were so happy with catalyst and we cannot recommend them enough!
We had our back over hang redone and then added a porch to the front and I really feel like they were able to capture exactly what we wanted, made it beautiful, kept it in budget (we actually came in slightly under the quoted budget price) and kept to the agreed schedule!
It was overall such a lovely experience working with them. Personally, I have social axiety and found all of the catalyst employees and the head of project so easy to talk to which is really valuable to me. If I had an issue, didn't like the way something looked or had a question about whatever, they replied promptly to emails, listened intently and would make any change needed to make sure my husband and I were completely happy with it.
Also, I have never seen a harder working crew. My gosh. Through any weather!
The project is done, looks amazing, our neighbors walking by constantly compliment it and we tell them if they want any projects done, this is the company to go with.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Catalyst Contracting and the amazing job they have done on my ensuite renovation and custom barn door build for my home office.
From the very outset, communication was clearly important to them and the response time to inquiries was beyond my expectations. I was kept apprise every morning with an update on work that was scheduled to be done that day - who was coming and what was happening - so I was never left wondering if or when someone was going to show up.
The Catalyst crew were all extremely friendly and so courteous and respectful of my home and took tremendous care to leave my house at the end of the day like it was when they arrived.

TOP NOTCH!!!

We had our kitchen reno done this past summer 2018 by Catalyst!!!
We went with Ikea cabinets totally customized by Catalyst. This company is the most professional business we have ever come across!
And this is the second time we used their services. The first time was in 2011 for a flooring reno of our whole main floor. They were fabulous then and thats why we called them to quote our kitchen reno.

I first emailed them to ask for a quote and they emailed me right back asking for information specific to our needs. We made an appointment and Brady came out, exactly on the time he said he would. They were always right on time. He went over the job with us and helped guide us with tips and insight that we had not thought of. We were told the quote would be done in a couple of weeks and thats because they do a completely thorough quote. Whatever the quote is, that is what the cost is, apart from any add ons. (We had a few add ons). I love that!!!
The quote was detailed well and had a clear payment schedule.
In the end, we paid exactly the amount that was quoted so no surprises.

We arranged a start date, end date and the job was started on time.
It ended a couple days late but that was no fault of Catalyst. It was because Ikea delivered damaged parts and we had to wait to get new ones.

All the Catalyst crew and contractors/tradesmen were amazing!
Their work was so good, very professional and awesome to work with.
Communication is very important when under going a reno and Catalyst is excellent at that too! They were friendly, pleasant and fun to work with!
They made any accommodations they could while we were going through the reno.
Matt helped us plan out our cabinets to make the most of our small kitchen. It is now so great, I'm in there all the time cooking and baking!
