👍 Avis de Fortune Cove Cabins

Great private cabins right at the ocean.
Mark and Abby are fantastic hosts.
The cabin was equipped very well with anything you need, including quite a kitchen.
The woodstove with lots of dry firewood provided a great atmosphere when it was damp and rainy outside. Perfect west coast vacation.
Update Dec 2021:
We came back for our 2nd visit, this time staying in the Fir cabin for 4 days. It's a bit smaller, but we didn't really need the loft space offered by the Cypress cabin, so this fit us just fine. We love the atmosphere, all the timbers, and the cozy wood stove fire.
Another perfect mini-vacation close from home.

spent a couple of nights there very recently and it was great. quiet place, well built, comfy beds and wood for the fireplace and kitchen has everything you need.
we will definitely be back.
thanks

We stayed with our 10 year old in the Fir cabin. Abby and Mark have built their own home and 2 beautiful cabins they rent on their cove. We saw deer and enjoyed the stillness from the more crowded areas.||||The cabin's kitchen is fully furnished with hot chocolate, coffee, pots, pans, an excellent gas grill, and all the implements you might need. My husband loves cooking on holiday and when he decided to try his hand at the local dungeness crab, Abby and Mark were ready to offer their large crab pot. When we needed more pepper, they had their large pepper mill for us. The wood stove was cozy and nice for the cooler evenings and after our kayaking adventure.||||They had wonderful ideas of things to do and see and were pleased with our enjoyment of the area. I'd love to return one day in the early summer or fall.

We spent a week in the larger Cypress cabin, and by the end of the week we wanted to move in for good!! We had our 5 year old with us and he just loved staying up in the loft and seeing the great view every morning. It was a two minute walk to the bay and a world of exploring for a little guy and his mom and dad. It was also close to the main road, but not so close that you heard any noise at all. The owners are really nice and helped us out with anything we needed - which wasn't much! As a previous review said there was no television, internet and didn't see any satellite dishes or electrical outlets on the trees y the cove - but that's just what we expected and just what we wanted!!||||By chance we ended up there during "uke days" - which was a good break. We had fun down at the "fairgrounds" and the parade was great. If we ever go out to the coast as a family again we'll stay there for sure!

Awesome Cabins tucked right into the forest with beautiful ocean views. A very short walk to the water, took some beautiful photos of wildlife from right outside the cabin.||Reasonably priced for how much space there is inside! Lots of room in the kitchen, awesome to have a wood stove on chilly nights. Love how rustic and "west coasty" the cabin was! We will return! ||Only negative thing I can say; there were SO many giant spiders. But, what do you expect from a house surrounded by trees! They kept the visit exciting!

We’ve been here 3 times now - the large Cypress cabin is our favourite but both ca1bins are comfortable. Beds are great, nice linens, lots of hot water. Kitchenette in both - works so well for our fishing trips. Our dog likes it too!

We stayed two nights at Fortune Cove in early April. One night in Cypress Cabin -- the one with the upstairs bedroom lookout, and the second night in Fir Cabin. ||||Cypress Cabin was worth the extra $$ per night. The upstairs bedroom lookout is fantastic. It's also newer and cleaner than the other cabin. This is really important if you have any dog,cat or dust sensitivity/allergy. I sneezed constantly while while staying in Fir, but had no problems sleeping in Cypress. The bathroom in Cypress has a standard-sized tub and a much larger bathroom overall. The kitchen was clean and fully equipped with teas, condiments, salt, pepper and clean utensils and pots/pans. Spectacular green rain forest canape view from every window in the cabin. No curtains at all, but you have 100% privacy. ||||Fir Cabin is cute with a great layout. Smaller than Cypress, it could use a sweeping. It's not dirty, there are just a few cobwebs between the wooden ceiling/structure beams and in some corners. It's more rustic. Avoid this cabin if you have pet allergies. Fir cabin heats up quickly and has an amazing green canape view from its wall-to-wall windows. The kitchenette is spotless, no worries there. ||||The location is perfect. It's about 3 mintues drive into "downtown" Ucluelet, yet it's completely removed from civilization as it's tucked away down a long gravel road just off the town's main road. There are no curtains on the windows but you have complete privacy as there is nobody else on the property and you are surrounded by forest on all sides. Great water pressure and hot water but the shower couldn't be any smaller in Fir. ||||I'd give Fortune Cove a 5 if it had been slightly cleaner, but it's still highly recommended!

We stayed in the "Fir cabin" for 2 nights labour day weekend 2021.
Great location, beautiful timber cabin that looks on to the cove.
More than just a place to stay, it was part of our west coast experience.
Perfect for 2 but could work for 4.
Everything you need expect food. Fridge, microwave, cooktop, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle... (Plus a 3 piece bath)
Would we stay at Fortune cove cabins again? YES!!!
