I hired Prostar Concrete last year 2024 for my around house concrete work because of the fair price and the assurance of good quality the owner Nelson gave to me. He, who is easy to talk to and ready to accommodate, kept his words.

We had a few spots of missing pebbles for our aggregate driveway and border discolouration due to moisture trapping. Not only he kept his promise, coming back and fixed both issues, but also went the extra steps of sealing the entire surface.

We made the big step of having a new concrete driveway poured in Aug.. We found Prostar on the internet and are so glad we did. Communication was fantastic. Some of the other companies we reached out to have not gotten back to me to this day. Nelson always responded promptly. He kept me in the loop with the schedule, and answered all my many questions. Come the week the driveway was poured, everything went perfectly. My neighbours were impressed with the meticulous work from Prostar. I contacted Prostar by email in the Fall of 2023 and asked its owner Nelson for an estimate to remove my existing stamped concrete driveway, sidewalk and stairs and replace it with exposed aggregate, with borders. I made it clear that I wasn't interested in having the work completed in 2023 but I wanted it started early in the 2024 season. Nelson provided a very competitive estimate which I accepted. After I gave him a down payment I waited and true to his word Nelson emailed me in late March of this year and told me that they penciled me in for early to mid April, depending on the weather - perfect timing.
Prostar arrived exactly when Nelson said they would and started immediately to remove my old driveway, sidewalk and stairs. Nelson and his crew always arrived early each day and completed the job in about 2.5 - 3 weeks, which I thought was excellent given how much rain we had this spring. Nelson was on the work site most days and he was always willing to answer any and all the questions I had. Prostar did a great job that I’m very happy with.
About 2 weeks after Nelson sealed the driveway I noticed some inconsistencies in the colour of the border and some "blotchiness" on the driveway. I contacted Nelson, and sent him pictures of the issues. He arrived in a few days and fixed the problems. Unfortunately, I've had to have Prostar return a few times to deal with the border issue. Each time I contacted Nelson he returned my email with 48 hours and returned shortly thereafter to fix the border issue.
As a homeowner who spent a significant amount of money to improve my property, it's reassuring to have a concrete contactor who stands by his company's work. Well done Nelson!! Thank you.

I contacted Nelson this spring, almost a year after the completion of the project, regarding a cracked stair. Nelson responded immediately and within two weeks the stair was repaired and sealed. Prostar stands behind its work. Well done!!

Nelson and team completed work at our home many years ago (concrete patio in backyard and pathway on the side of the house). Everything has held up very well over time. We were so happy with the work that we recently requested an estimate for another project.
