During a time a few Aprils ago, during a severe snowstorm, I was unable to use my designated parking spot because it had been blocked by snow after the snow removal equipment passed through while I was away. The surrounding streets were also impassable, leaving me with no options.

When I called the office to ask for advice, an employee suggested that I park in a “no parking” area across the lot. At the time, it truly was the only available space, so I left my vehicle there for several days.

When the snow melted, I noticed damage on the hood of my car. I filed a claim with SGI, and their inspection confirmed the damage was caused by melting snow, not by any individual. SGI then contacted W.S, which was outside of my control.

When I later spoke with staff at the office about this, I was put on speakerphone. During the conversation, I was accused of fraud and told that no such parking suggestion had been made, even though my recollection of the phone call was different. This left me feeling that my concerns were not handled fairly and that my integrity was questioned.

I will add that, in general, I did not feel especially comfortable in my interactions with this employee. While I cannot speak to her overall performance, in my personal opinion a different approach or communication style might be better suited. I was incredibly upset by this interaction, and honesty was not given.
