We have booked with Cottage stays for the past four years and their properties never disappoint. Based on the time of year and the occasion we’ve tried several different cottages for durations from a weekend to 3 weeks.

This year we splurged a bit and spent two weeks at a lake facing cottage. It was amazing.

To start, we always know what amenities we are getting and getting the sheet package is a no brainer so packing is easy.

The cottage was everything promised in the write-up and then some. There were so many different spaces in the cottage that even when kids and their partners joined us we never felt cramped.

The indoor sauna and large dining table were lovely too.

Without a doubt the deck and the view were absolutely amazing. In the heat and in winds it is the perfect place to enjoy what the lake and cottage life has to offer.

Any time we had a question the great folks at Cottage Stays would respond and resolve stuff quickly.

We recommend using CottageStays to all our friends, many of whom have gone with them and had their own remarkable vacations too.

We are already planning for our next rental!

Every summer I search the cottages on Cottage Stays for the next hidden gem for my son and I. Our tradition for many years! Sometimes going back to the same cottage. This year it was Modern Classic. What a gem. A view of the lake and sunset, you never get enough of. Quiet, close to the beach. The hosts are wonderful. Prompt, knowledgeable and always there responding to any questions. Thank you Cottage Stays, we'll definitely be back!

Perfect family vacation!!! We stayed a week at Pier280 August 2025. Check in was smooth, with a handy app guestbook sent a few days in advance and a sweet welcome note to greet us on arrival. It was a nice touch to have them check in and make sure everything went well getting in. We were a family of young children with grandparents and our dog, and the cottage was equipped with amazing duplo, puzzles, and games the kids enjoyed. We spent a lot of time on the rock beach exploring "rock island", and saw many different birds (a few eagles!), butterflies and bugs. A sandy beach is a quick 5 min drive away so we did both. The cottage had everything you need for a cozy stay- comfortable mattresses, full kitchen with cooking supplies, big shower, and amazing views. Kincardine was not a far drive and we enjoyed popping into town. Highly recommend if you want a private lakefront paradise with all the amenities of home!!!

The cottage itself is a peaceful retreat—serene, cozy, and beautifully maintained. It has everything we need for a relaxing getaway, from the warmth of the indoor and outdoor fireplaces to the hot tub with stunning lake views. We are still feeling the after effects of another perfect vacation at a cottage along the shores of Lake Huron! Still smiling, and feel like we shed 10 pounds of stress while we were there. This is the second time we have booked through Cottage Stays and both vacations were absolutely wonderful. The first time we booked a cottage big enough to share with our family, and this time we needed only a 2 bedroom cottage for a quieter stay for 2 plus our dog! That's a big plus booking through Cottage Stays that there is a variety of options for cottages and many of the cottages are pet friendly. He is part of the family, so of course we like to include him! He settled in very well and loved the vacation with his humans too!

Checking in and out was super efficient and the feeling of entering the cottage in the evening, with everything ready for us just started our vacation off in the best of ways. (lights turned on creating a welcoming glow, cottage immaculate and easy instructions/guidelines for our stay). Jennifer and Shauna were very responsive to any questions/suggestions. They outlined things we could do in the area, dining etc. but to be honest all we wanted this time was a quiet, comfortable cottage where we could unwind and Sunset Serenity Shorehouse exceeded our expectations. The cottage was cozy and the outdoor spaces were incredible. Exactly what we needed for a week of R & R!

Thanks for assisting us with another great vacation. We will be back!

We had a wonderful week at The Signal. This cottage is well-equipped with high-end finishes and all the comforts of home. There were so many thoughtful details that made our stay extra enjoyable. The cottage is a newer build, which we liked, very clean, and in a beautiful area - we loved our evening walks. The beach is fairly private and only a short walk and a few steps away. Greatly appreciated being able to bring our beloved fur babies - thank you - the backyard was perfect for them to chill in the shade. The sauna was a big bonus. Jennifer and her team are always lovely to deal with and very helpful. We would highly recommend.

The staff is always friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure our family has everything we need for a perfect vacation.
