Their unprofessionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction have left us deeply frustrated and inconvenienced. They lacked the basic organizational skills and communication, their promised timelines are consistently ignored. Lack of hot water at home, dangerous access to every home and parking tickets due to irresponsible towing from their part are just a few of the issues we’ve been constantly having because of them. Worst building company ever!

Sales person, she is very rude , not responsive and goofy. She will always give you wrong information. I received email that this lot number available and when we call in next second, she said that lot is not available. She will never give appointment for normal lot * without premium lot. She always try to sell with premium.
I must say house quality is good but management is zero.
She make my whole experience miserable.
I tried to contact head office but get little less response.
She will tell you every lot are sold before listing online. I do not know how she sold everything in mid night.

I would say do not waste time and energy.

Empire sets the standard for horrible home builders. Purchased a detached home, Lush phase 3, and it has been nothing but atrocious quality from day one! The list of deficiencies was extremely extensive:

• waves/humps in kitchen floor, front entrance. Tiles had to be torn out and redone multiple times!!!

• staircase leaning 1/2" and backslope 1/4"

• hardwood floors on main and second floor flexed and creaked like it was a 100 year old house when walking on them. All hardwood floors had to be ripped out and redone.

• tiled and glass shower in main ensuite had to be gutted due to walls not being square and walls bowing

• twisted windows that wouldn't close properly. Window cranks that were ready to fall off when used. Window latches that wouldn't lock window due to window being twisted.

• three piece rough-in was installed two inches away from furnace and tight against foundation wall, making it completely useless. Rough-in had to be torn out, (concrete floor cut and jack hammered out), and redone.

• tiles in mud room creaked due to sub-floor not being adequately fastened down to joists. Tiles had to be taken out, sub-floor fastened and tiles reinstalled.

These are just some of the major issues that my wife and I had, not to mention all the small repairs that were done! We even had to get Tarion involved on a few occasions because Empire did not want to fix some of the deficiencies.

Customer service is completely incompetent and lack professionalism.
The main customer service rep, (Natalie), needs to find herself a new profession, as she clearly has no understanding of the term CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

Roads, for the last two years, are constantly filled with mud, stones and potholes. No matter how many times complaints are sent by the entire subdivision, nothing ever gets resolved.

I work in the construction trade, have worked for some of the biggest companies in Ontario, and I'm completely appalled by this unethical company. Not one single individual working for Empire would last a single shift before they were shown the door!!!!! It amazes me that they are still in business!!!!

We bought a house from empire over 2 years ago. We had numerous problems with the contractors working for this company. They’re unprofessional and rude. We complained about smoke alarm being defective multiple times and they just ignored it until the warranty passed and told us it’s too late. Also ruined my backyard grading my kids can’t run without getting hurt because of the huge slope they have created. When I complained about it they made it worse and the response from one of the workers was” you complain now you have it worse” VERY PROFESSIONAL!!!!! Now they’re excuse is they have turned it over to the city and we got nothing fixed!!!! I feel very frustrated with the whole experience empire builder has put us through!!!!

We've been living in the Stoney creek community for 2 years now and it's just been a constant let down and constant disaster. They put no effort into this community. The streets are filled with potholes that never get fixed no matter the complaints. There is litter all throughout our pond from the builders tims cups and water bottles The mess is just beyond and not even this 1 star review will fix anything.

I wish I could give less than one star. Empire is the worst builder ever. Please stay away from this unethical, non professional and highly incompetent builder. I have made a huge mistake that I purchased a detached house in Stoney Creek Lush Ph2 in March 2015. Since then, my closing date has been delayed for five times. Now they gave me another closing date but I can't trust this builder because of their past broken promises. Empire has useless customer service. Empire communities has extremely poor planning, organizational and time management skills. Even a lay man can build better quality house in less time than Empire.

Horrible service from Empire. Stay away from this builder. They don't use licenced technicians or experienced contractors for their construction. They fail to follow standard code for the most part. The quality and finish is absolutely disgusting. Customer service is non existent. They really should call themselves Age of Empires as this is a game for them.

Thankyou Empire for building my first new home. I am very happy with my new house. Pina from customer service was Amazing help all the time. Dan from construction site also helped us a lot after closing. Any issues after closing Dan and sayyad took care of my issues.My friends visited my home and checked the quality of the house and they are very happy about the builder.once again Thankyou Empire.
