Wow—what an incredible experience working with Father and Son! From my very first phone call with Adam, I knew I was in good hands. I actually found Adam during a long train ride from Toronto to Barrie. Normally, I wouldn’t take on a project of this size without a personal referral, but after reading the glowing reviews and speaking with him directly, I knew I had made the right decision.

From the start, Adam was attentive, responsive, and professional. He patiently answered all of my questions and always got back to me promptly. I took on the permit process myself to save on costs—but didn’t leave me to figure it out alone. Adam guided me through every step and supported me whenever the city had questions or required follow-up, however he showed me everything up front so it was minimal!

Their payment structure is fair and professional, clearly designed to protect both parties. We agreed upfront on payment milestones based on the completion of specific stages, and both sides followed through as committed.

The end result? A beautiful deck, finished on time and to my complete satisfaction. Adam and his team were punctual, respectful of my property, and made sure to clean up thoroughly at the end of each day. They completed the entire project—from start to finish—in just four days, which is remarkable considering the quality of workmanship.

You know what it’s like when you have an idea in your head, and you hope that when it’s all said and done it turns out exactly the way you wanted it to.

Adam and Andrew (Father & Son) received our request for quote very late in the season July 9th 2024. We received our quote back promptly. With a few site visits for measurements and small details, we had everything in place by the 24th of July.

I think it’s safe to say that if you request a deck builders quote in July you’re going to have to wait, so wait we did. Adam let us know from the start, that they wouldn’t be available until sometime in October, depending on the weather. We got lucky with the fall weather and Father & Son was on site Mid-October.

Footings were in by October 25th, lumber, composite decking and misc. material all on site over the weekend of October 26th, 27th. They started bright and early Monday morning October 28th and missed very few days.

Adam was always willing to answer questions and was able to adapt to some minor changes I can up with as we went along. His vision for the seamless glass, and glass railing is exquisite. The picture framed 10’ wide stairs with stainless steel LED lighting looks stunning and at night; is twice as impressive.

Father & Son looked after the 10’ x 12’ x 9’ aluminum motorized (roof and privacy shades) pergola and installation as well.

The final completion day was November 28th, and we only missed at most 3 or 4 days due to weather.

Both Adam and Andrew were wonderful to work with, we are so happy we chose Father & Son Fence & Deck to do this work for us. The work is impeccable and their craftsmanship and attention to detail is so professional.

This was one of those projects the exceeded my expectations and turned out better than I could have imagined. I told Adam that we need to take our shoes off before walking on the deck. That’s how good it is!

Adam and his crew worked with us from the beginning to built this beautiful deck for us. Adam helped us with the drawing and the permit. They worked efficiently and diligently to get the job done in a timely manner. They were very conscientious and cleaned up the work site every night. The deck project was completed as promised. I must add that Adam is a very honest and trustworthy person, I say that because when I made a mistake in my final payment to him, he told me that the payment was in excess of what I owed him and he returned the excess to me. Adam and his team are amazing! I needed a fence replacement. They showed up in the morning as they committed to and by the end of the day, I had a new fence that looks fantastic! They tore out the old, concrete and all and put up the new one. They hauled away all the debris and cleaned up the area. You would never know they were here. Father and Sons is my go to for fencing and decks. I highly recommend them! My neighbour was also very impressed and has hired them to replace his fencing.
