STAY AWAY!

Anne is a useless as they come! She's quick to email for rent money but when it comes to dealing with issues she does not email back 99% of the time.

STAY far away from 204 Alva street (specifically unit 10) unless you enjoy smelling marijuana in your unit and dog feces all over your front and backyard area from unit 11. The walls in these units are paper thin and you can hear absolutely everything !

I live in a nice south end subdivision in Barrie.
My neighbour used this company to rent out a basement apartment. They rented it to drug dealers/users because they had jobs.
They would throw used needles over the fence into my back yard and have people coming and going from the place continuously at all hours of the day and night. I had Crack heads wondering into my back yard at night instead of theirs because they were so high and tried to go to the wrong house. There were constant domestics, yelling, swearing, smell of drugs etc.

From what I understand these people were forced to leave other places that they rented in the past and had a history of not being wanted where ever they went and had regular encounters with police.

Tenant screening needs to consist of more then just "they have income and should be able to pay".

When you use a company to find good tenants, that company should be checking with previous landlords and their neighbors to see if there were issues. It's not all about money....

My family just went through months of hell with safety concerns for ourselves and children because this company only checked for income.

I'm also a landlord and will never consider using this company to locate someone for my properties after this experience.

This company owes the entire neighborhood an apology.

Many neighbours including myself had to spend money putting up security cameras, leaving exterior lights on all night, adding locks to the gates etc...

My parents used this company to find tenants for their basement unit. The tenants that Barrie Rentals found and supposedly "vetted" turned out to be drug deals. They haven't paid rent for the past 6 months, have sold our furniture, and sell drugs from our apartment. Best of all, we can't evict thanks to COVID. Thanks Barrie Rentals! Highly recommend this service if you're looking for drug dealer tenants.

Never return calls or emails about maintenance issues, but gladly accept the email if it’s rent. Stay away!

Update.......still waiting for maintenance on issues from 2+ years ago and now waiting for someone to come in to check on water damage and smells of Mold in the home.
Luckily there’s external support that can be looked into because NOTHING can get repaired properly in a reasonable amount of time.
