Jairus is fantastic, not only in his work, but also in his work ethics and principles! He provided us with a reasonable quote and efficiently helped us with several tasks during his 3.5-hour visit, including fixing a baseboard heater in place, removing the wooden planter and replacing it with pavers, caulking around a bathtub, installing a kitchen range hood and disposing of an old one, and mending cracks in an exterior wall. Throughout the process, he kindly answered our questions and explained the process to us in ways we could easily understand. Considering his client’s best interests, he also gave us helpful advice on ways to better maintain our place and save money in the long run.

Originally, we were also going to raise and level the ground of our parking area that was next to a wooden fence, as the ground was sloped. However, when Jairus came, he found that our wooden fence was rotting below the pavement line, so it wouldn't have been able to withstand the type of ground raising and levelling we wanted to do. As my family and I needed time to rethink how we might want to fix the fence/support and redo groundwork, we ended up cancelling this last task. Jairus was very understanding. Although Jairus had already purchased the materials for the groundwork and we hadn’t talked about those materials, when he sent an invoice later, he gave us a discount for the work we had cancelled. We highly recommend Helpful Handyman and will reach out to Jairus for help again in the future!
