I've experienced some ups and downs. I will comment on a few things here. From the sales office to the builders, and warranty team. What was presented at the sales office including the model home didn't even match the finished product. The sales team provided conflicting information which ended up in unnecessary withdrawals from my registered accounts. I ended up getting a refund from the CRA but these are avoidable actions that cost me time and resources. I couldn't even use the bathroom for 6 weeks after closing just waiting for a fix. The Tarion process is only a pain and not effective in getting things done.

The building quality is not worth it and most of the tradesmen who come into the homes agree they are sub-contracted. It left me wondering how some of their building codes passed inspection at the city. You can't overlook the poor experiences post-closing. Using multiple tradesmen who can't keep jobs consistent is frustrating. You will have personnel come in and listen but end up delivering poor quality which leads to re-work.

We were fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Todd in reviewing and arranging repairs of a few warranty items and undertaking part of the work himself. He explained the process thoroughly and the timeline we could expect. He was not only patient and responsive to all questions and concerns we expressed, but he was also incredibly easy to work with and made sure everything was done right. His overall care and meticulous attention to detail was evident in every step of the process and the work he did for us.

The playground is never finished — every time I think it’s going to be done, the workers show up and then disappear. It was promised two years ago, and now it’s spring again. I doubt it’ll be completed by summer this year. Also, It’s almost June, and the streets are still so dirty from the snow. In other communities, street cleaning is already done. Street cleaning here takes far too long — otherwise, it’s okay.

I purchased a house in this project on August 16th. I even referred some friends, and they also purchased another house here. It turned out Empire offered some incentives to some customers and excluded others. My friends got a $5,000 incentive that was not offered to me. When I asked Empire about this matter, they denied it to me. This company does not have a consistent marketing campaign. They change their offers without considering previous clients. My friends purchased just two weeks after me. Empire did not even consider that I was the one who did a referral and, as a consequence, they sold another house. Be careful when you purchase here. They are not serious about this matter and do not value the effort that clients are doing to purchase a house at this moment in the market. They do not care about customer satisfaction at all

The worst builder ever. Used material of the lowest possible quality. If you complain, even under warranty, this builder will never take care of. When they show you model house, you will never get that. I personally, like other buyers I met with, will never recommend Empire at all. Just in a few years after buying new house, you will notice so many cracks in the walls etc.

Great company to deal with. They are going above and beyond to mitigate industry shortages for certain building materials. Have been accommodating and supportive during the building process and making sure to take care of the people buying homes from them. Would highly recommend if you're in the market for a new home !

Its a good community to live in, but still have to do a lot of work to get it completed, I have called them many times to get two spots in my lawn fixed, those were damaged last year when they have installed the sewer system covers installed, I have been promised to have it fixed a few months back and nothing happened yet, When I tried to call recently no one was picking up, I believe they just doesn’t care or they are done with my house, Its so frustrating to be treated this way, specially when they have promised to get it done.
I would recommend them to work more in time management so they would get time to work on such an issues.

This is the worst company to buy a house from. The material is cheap, they charge a lot for upgrades and the workmanship is poor. It is not done right the first time .When time to repair or complete work it takes for ever to be done and always has to be done over. The plan for the house that is advertised is not what is built, and they find legal loop holes to get out of there commitment. I wont even buy a dog house from these people again.
