Nous avons passé 3 nuits dans un petit chalet 2 chambre très rustique et défraîchi. L’acceuil était chaleureux mais les propriétaires sont peu impliqués car ils ont mis le lodge en vente. La vue est très belle, l’endroit est calme. Le service en chambre était inexistant: pas de changement des serviettes de bain, pas de ménage. Wifi très faible.||Un peu cher donc pour le confort basique du lodge et le manque de service.

l'endroit est juste magnifique situer au dessus de golden, entourer par la foret, c'est l'endroit parfait pour se retrouver au calme.||Doris nous a accueillis mes amis et moi avec sympathie et simplicité, dans un lodge chaleureux et trés « canadien » ||nous avons passer la nuit dans une des cabines, tres bien équipée, j'ai particulièrement apprécier le salon avec le poêle a bois.||Merci encore a doris pour son accueil

Dernière étape trouvée au hasard sur la route, un accueil simple, sympathique et chaleureux, une chambre superbe et vaste, balcon donnant sur un merveilleux paysage, un excellent repas fait maison servi sur le balcon, bref, le bonheur !!! Adresse à recommander.

To be fair, this is neither a lodge nor a spa; nor does it have an actual restaurant. It was like having a guestroom in someone's home. The website does say the spa is closed and that you have to reserve the restaurant ahead of time - at the very bottom of the menu (but nothing in the general section with the restaurant info). The website should be updated so the hosts accurately and clearly advertise what they have to offer at their property. The hosts were pleasant and helpful enough. They did accommodate us and found us a spot with a TV to watch a hockey game when their TV in the common area was broken. Rooms were very clean and maintained. Rooms lock, but no keys are given. You have to find the hosts when you want back in your room. The view is very beautiful, however there is a lot of junk and clutter on the property. This is the first non 5 star review I have ever given, as I prefer to only highlight top notch, extremely positive and impressive experiences, but I felt this review was necessary to inform others about the reality of this location.

Best place we’ve stayed in BC.

This beautiful lodge, crafted by the owners twenty years ago, offers a cozy, cabin-in-the-woods feel, with all the comforts of a hotel room.

The lodge is well situated, giving guests a breathtaking view of the mountains, the humble deer as they graze along, and the hummingbirds flitting from the suspended flowers on the balcony. The experience is truly magical, and the hosts were an absolute delight.

A nice country escape from crowded Rockies town. Comfortable cabins. No sounds of highway or trains. Near enough to Golden to go out for dinner. Yoho is less than an hour way. Very nice welcoming hosts. I recommend the breakfast - big and diverse the way bed and breakfasts ought to be. Reasonable prices. Great to have a kitchen and a barbecue to cook in evenings.

The rooms were very clean. We loved our time here. Doris is an amazing cook and hostess. Her husband is wonderful as well. We were guests in their home.
If you want to get back to basics and get into nature this is a perfect spot. Do you remember when people used to sit and talk to each other without the distractions of the Internet, television and gaming You can find this when you stay here. Doris cooked us a fabulous meal we enjoyed our meal and drinks out on the their deck. Doris let me pick their raspberries that were in the yard. My mom who has passed away and I used to always pick berries together. I had the opportunity to relive a cherished memory of my Mom surrounded by the beautiful mountains and wonderful fresh air. You are surrounded by mother nature‘s beauty. You can unplug from the busyness and noice of the Internet and TV and plug in to the people around you. I would highly recommend you come and stay here whenever you are in Golden, BC. We will definitely be back. Until then Doris taking care of yourself and your family.
