Wouldn't recommend Alves as a home builder given their nonexistent client service. Your home is the largest investment you will ever make. We moved in during the fall as the second owner of a home, the following spring after the melt, we had water leaking through a number of light fixtures. They quickly sent a contractor out to repair the deficiency in the attic that was causing the issue, then sent a painter to repair the stains left behind on the ceiling. The painter advised waiting a few weeks as the paint often doesn't match up. When we called to ask for the painter to return, they ghosted us. Not a great experience. Recommend moving onto a company that cares.

Went to look at show homes as we are moving in the next year so we decided to see what St. Albert has to offer. Understanding that there is a pandemic we took all of the precautions hand sanitizing and wearing a mask as to make sure we are all safe looking at these new show homes. Upon opening the door we were asked by the sales rep. “Are you guys ready to buy or build today?” We said we are thinking about building but it won’t be till next year. She then said we are only allowing people in who want to build right now. She then insinuated that we may be one of the many people who come through for design ideas. I understand precautions but it’s disappointing that we drove from Strathcona County to see this house as we like the designs from Alves Homes. Be prepared to buy a house the day you go see their show home I guess.

If you want a spectacular and jaw dropping "Custom" home built, this is the company to make it happen. Great organization and always holds true to their word and work. You won't be disappointed by hiring them.
