A fuir donc !

Had a great experience traveling to the city from Warwick NY. The bus was very comfortable and the driver did a great job getting us to port authority on time. He even greeted me when I came on the bus! I don’t know his name but I took a photo of his employee number. I hope he gets recognized for his work.

This review is for the NJ transit at the Penn station. The train ride to Newark Airport, while relatively quick, was marked by an unexpected and rather inconvenient incident as we approached the airport stop. Despite the anticipation of passengers ready to disembark, the train doors failed to open. This abrupt halt, without any forewarning or explanation, left us bewildered and frustrated. The lack of communication from the train staff during such a critical moment was disconcerting, to say the least.

Bus fares are pricey. Half the drivers are impolite. 192 drivers just change their routes without any reason, leaving people behind at the stations. (The bus goes through the bridge when we wait at the station for an hour!)

This may be the worst rail system in the world. As a tourist, I’ve sworn never to stay in NJ again solely because of their horrible public transit. NJ residents should be embarrassed by their system. Always delayed, no information, old trains, infrequent, non-existent customer service. Just all round a horrible experience for all customers.

Second or thrid time with New Jersey transit. This time no one to give clear information and many platforms can only be reached by stairs which isn’t he safest way to reac the platform. Non-rush hour fortunately but non-express so every single stop to get to our destination. Not the most comfortable seats.

Would've gave 0 star if I could
NJ transportation sucks ! No info, always delayed or even canceled without notice or updates. As a worldwide tourist, this is the worst transportation company I had to deal with...

Most of out trips with NJ transit were fine, but one experience was extremely bad. The bus driver was rude and unprofessional to us, with no justification. On Monday 6th of May, me and my friend were about to board the 123 bus to Jersey City at 21:56, at the PABT. Apparently the tapping machine was not working at the bus we were taking (there was no indication of this, in our previous journeys with NJ transit we had always tapped in). The bus operator just started screaming at us to leave the bus. I tried retapping my card cause I though it was my issue and she further screamed that it was not working and we had to leave the bus 'right now'. She said we had to go down and buy a ticket, which we had previously never had to do, and she pointed us to the middle of the bus station, leading us to have to cross the dangerous bus arrival area to get inside the terminal, at risk of our safety. I even tried to ask if it was possible to buy the ticket from her at the bus, to which she promptly denied and screamed at us to leave the bus. This, as we learned when we were catching the next bus, was clearly not true, costumers can buy tickets in cash from the bus operator (which we also had to do the following day, while boarding a bus with no tap machine). Rude and unprofessional. As we were heading to the back door to leave, she screamed once again to leave, ordering us through the front door. We obviously ended up missing this bus and making it back much later than needed, and under much stress. Only positive experience was with the worker at the PABT who, after we missed the 21:56 bus, calmly helped us and indicated the right direction to exit the bus area safely and head for the new gate. As for the bus driver, I can understand it's a stressful job, and probably a long day, but there is no excuse for mistreating customers who were simply trying to pay their fare. For us it was also a long day, and we were never rude or disrespectful towards her, we were only confused.
