On average I've spent around $300-$500 per month at this garage for the past year. Yesterday, "Wilson" (short, older guy with a full beard who appears to be a mix of Italian and Mexican) decided to dismissively refuse to park my vehicle because there was 2 inches of snow on the hood.

I see Wilson nearly every time I park so I've come to know him and his behavior quite well. He consistently has an attitude that demonstrates how deeply he resents his job.

This includes, but is not limited to:

1) Outright refusal to reply or dodgy avoidance when responding to customers who ask questions or push back about pricing that doesn't align with posted pricing signage and appears to change subjectively based on what Wilson feels like charging.

2) Parking and retrieving cars out of order based on who he appears to prefer, which has made other customers irate in my presence.

3) Taking his time to serve customers who are waiting at the window while he appears to watch TV on his phone.

Based on the prior reviews here that go back years, it's clear that at least this location of Icon Parking doesn't hold/train their employees to a professional standard and instead allows behavior like Wilson's to persist undeterred, while they knowingly lose business hand-over-fist as they did yesterday when I went to another parking garage around the corner and parked without any problems or attitude about 2 inches of snow.

I genuinely wonder when Icon parking will put a new manager in place who will actually respond (beyond a corporate template response) to the reviews here, begin training/managing their staff and start turning the boat around on their 1.5 star rating.

Had to park here through the hotel I was staying in which was only 2 blocks away. When I got there the entryway was blocked by SUVs (the front one was a Chevy Suburban) so I parked on the street and walked down (where I saw several Land Rovers and other high end cars). There was a lady waiting for her vehicle when I got there which they were just pulling up with. She had a 4th Gen Land Rover Range Rover HSE. I told the attendant why I was there and he asked my what kind of vehicle I had. I told him a Nissan Pathfinder. He then told me it was too big that I would have to park at their 50 Gold st. location. I was confused but walked back to my car only to watch as the lady in the Range Rover drove right passed my Pathfinder and thought...those are the same size. Hmmm...I was too big?

Range Rover:
Length-196.8 in
Width-81.6 in (mirrors folded)
Height-72.2 in

Pathfinder:
Length-197.7 in
Width-77.9 in
Height-70.9 in

The other location was another 8 blocks away so my walk back to the hotel took over 15 minutes. When I got back to my room my wife noticed at the bottom of our ticket is said "damaged vehicle". Our Pathfinder is brand new and hit 5000 miles that day and had no damage. So I had to walk the 10 blocks back to ensure that was a mistake, the card they had inside had no noted damage and I was assured my ticket saying that was a mistake and wouldn't be an issue. 3 days, even with the hotel discount, cost $120.

I’d give negative star. Will never use ICON again. Bought $72.50 online parking e-ticket, got 39 Exchange Pl based on their linked direction, and was yelled and pushed out of the place saying it’s only for monthly. Very rude to customers. My first ever complain comment on any commercial stuff.

I have been parking in this garage for almost a year now. It has not been crazy bad until today...I have reached my limit! This will be the third time that I have had my spot switched on me in less than a year. I pay $800/mo for one car and one motorcycle. I usually ride my motorcycle in every day, but today my spot was given to someone else. The other spots require that you sit and wait on them to move vehicles in order for you to park. I wish I had the type of job that would allow for me to sit and wait, but that is not the case. I need easy in and out access. I spoke with the Garage Manager and he had the nerve to tell me that the new person parking pays more!!! I said that I could not argue with him and that I would call his corporate office.

I also would like to affirm what others have said below...the rate is base on the care your driving and how you look. If they think they can get m ore out of you they will! I have heard and seen them quote people with the same size vehicles for the same amounts of time different prices. Icon is usually a good parking provider, but this location is shady.

There are several other garages in the area with integrity and will treat everyone the same...trust me it is worth walking another block or so not to be scammed by this location.

I stayed at the Hilton from 5/12/18-5/13/18. I was told that I could park at Icon Parking, I was given directions, and was told where to go. I went to Icon Parking garage located between Beaver St. and William St. and was greeted promptly and given a ticket while they took my car. Hilton informed me that it would cost $40 per 24 hours. I was prepared to pay $80 just in case my stay lasted longer than 24 hours. When I picked up my car, it had been 28 hours. I was still prepared to pay up to $80. The bill came to $130. My conversation with the employee at the desk was this:

Me: No, it can't be $130, the Hilton said it's $40 per 24 hours. It should be at most $80.
Employee: Oh, you have to get the ticket stamped by the front desk.
Me: Oh okay, so that's all I have to do? Then the price will be $80?
Employee: Yes ma'am.
(Another employee steps in to the conversation)
Other employee: No, we don't do that with Hilton. You're thinking of the other Icon parking garage.
Me: So what am I supposed to do? Because I was sent here and no one ever informed me that the price would be different. You're both Icon parking garages, so the deal should be with both locations.
Employee: I'm sorry ma'am. I cannot help. You should have told someone you were staying at the Hilton and asked if we could get that price.
Me: Where is the customer service here? There's nothing you can do? You're the same parking garage and I was told that it would be $40 per 24 hours, not $130.

After this conversation, I paid, because I needed my car (my mother who was visiting had a flight to catch and I couldn't waste any more time arguing). I find this experience to be the one thing I will remember most about this Mother's Day trip. It's not a fond memory to have and I would like my money back. $130 for parking for 28 hours is ridiculous. After leaving the garage, my mother downloaded the app and saw that there were coupons which would have made the cost go down, but I was not even offered a solution.

I work in an office where customer service is the number one priority. I teach it to my employees and lead by example every day. I don't feel that I received any customer service whatsoever and I will never again consider parking in any Icon parking garages. I feel like I was played for a fool and completely taken advantage of. Like I said, I was prepared to pay $80 for parking so I would like for this issue to be taken care of, for those employees that I dealt with to receive customer service training, and to be reimbursed.

I have already contacted Hilton for directing me to this garage. I believe the issue is on both ends of Hilton and Icon Parking. I would take responsibility for this issue if I genuinely felt I was at fault. To not even be offered a solution for the issue is absurd and unsettling. That is the least that could have been done. And to be told by one employee that I needed a stamp from Hilton and the price would then by lowered to $80, but then told by another employee that that's not the case, is inconsistent and unprofessional.

I should have checked reviews before I booked parking here. My wife's family jist flew in from Brazil and we needed a place to park close to the WTC. I booked parking on the parkwhiz app and the manager did not want to honor it. Upon arrival he threw us out and kept talking over me being very rude and unprofessional. While I tried explaining I booked and paid he said he didn't care. When asked how would I get a refund again he didn't care. My family was worried and upset with how this man seemed very angry and out of control. In the end he finally honored the reservation but wasn't happy about it. Even upon arrival for pick up he was still obnoxious and rude. Honestly this was the first time I parked in the city that I felt my car and items were not safe. from the staff.
If this is how Icon keeps their facilities staffed I will not use another one.
