We have had several incredibly positive interactions with staff at this store - they are always kind, friendly, and super informed. A special shoutout to Ryan, who I just got off the phone with and who was so warm and helpful, as I asked about Christmas trees. Kudos, this entire store exemplifies the kind of Nova Scotia hospitality and warmth you always hear about!

Booked a tractor rental. Originally booked it for a single day, ended up calling the next day to book it for the weekend. Staff was helpful at time of booking and answered all my questions. However, the day the machine was supposed to be delivered, it did not arrive and no one contacted me. I went in to talk to someone that afternoon and was informed that they had no information about delivery and told me that it was still only booked for a single day. I distinctly remember giving the delivery address and being told the calculated cost for delivery and return upon giving my address. I distinctly remember my conversation with staff when I called the next day to extend the duration of the rental, so it's beyond me as to why so much crucial information is missing, and why no one thought to call upon discovering there was an issue.

During my return visit to get to the bottom of this problem, two more staff members entered the room. One started to ask if I was a friend of someone, but the original person I was talking to cut them short. I find myself wondering if perhaps someone else needed the machine this weekend, and perhaps that person happens to know people willing to double book and leave me empty handed.

Not only am I disappointed and frustrated, but the tasks I needed this rental for were time sensitive. I took a lot of time to prepare everything so I would be ready, and here I am on Friday afternoon without so much as a phone call.

I suggest you take your rental needs to just about any other outfit in the valley other than Home Hardware in Annapolis Royal. I certainly won't be looking to them for anything. It simply isn't acceptable to leave customers in the dark due to clerical error, or cancel bookings to give special treatment to friends of staff, if that is indeed what happened here.

The staff is amazing. The folks at the lumber desk/contractor sales are top notch! Friendly, available, helpful and above all knowledgeable.

Doing DIY can be expensive but my husband has been consistently thrilled with offers on tools. At least twice now he has found a must have item for a project at a brilliant price. Thank you Home Hardware, you have made our DIY projects possible, affordable and easy, because a local store that has frequently got just what a person's looking for is such a treasure.

Great Home Hardware, one of the best. Staff is knowledgeable, store clean and organized. When you walk in you're always greeted with a smile and hello. Amazing array of products in every department. Great sales and occasional scratch and save events. Staff in lumber yard are great! It's also nice that you can pay at the lumber yard, which is unusual at a hardware store. Really, really like that lumber is stored in a covered building, hate lumber that has been left in the elements. Probably there at least once a week - great job going out to all the staff especially the lumber yard!!

What a gem to have in such a small town. Can usually always find what I need to get the job done or be educated on a new way to do it. If something is out of stock its no issues to have it ordered in. But the stand out here is the staff! I feel like I'm walking into an episode of Cheers sometimes. Weather my issues is big or small it is dealt with quickly and professionally. Has become my favorite shop in town.
