They came in to take measurements to provide a quote to replace our broken furnace on May 31st. After weekly phone calls, on July 15 they finally tell us that they will not be providing us with a quote, and will not do the work as they are understaffed.
I understand being unable to do the work due to staffing issues. But leading us on for 6 weeks when we need our furnace replaced before the end of summer is unacceptable.

Our furnace is old and in need of replacement, called them for a quote. Tech came over and took his measurements on May 29th, said the quote would come to us on the following Monday.

They delayed and delayed, saying that the owners were on vacation and couldn't approve it. Now they're back, and they tell us they're "too understaffed" to provide us with a quote. It's now late enough in the season, we may have a broken furnace for the winter, because they couldn't be bothered to tell us they were understaffed.

Terrible communication from the start, do not use this company. Our house may suffer permanent damage from our furnace breaking down over the winter.

I wish I could rate them lower than one star. They've rescheduled my furnace maintenance three times, despite my initial call in September, pushing me back to March. Each time, they called on the morning of the scheduled day to say it's been postponed. Never have I encountered such disregard from a service provider as with J & R. Before considering working with them, be aware that they do not honor their commitments or respect their clients. They should only be considered as a last resort.

J & R is probably the worst service I’ve ever experienced. We unfortunately needed our furnace replaced and have been waiting more than 20 days and the thing hasn’t even been shipped yet. And yet they won’t take responsibility for anything. I have a young child, space heaters being run in a house all the time because it’s WINTER is extremely unsafe, not to mention running the power bill up, when the cost of living is already high! It’s too bad they assume they can act this way because we’re in the North and already have limited options!

Previously good experiences with them but when i called the lady said theyd call and come by same day but nobody called and nobody showed up..a week went by no response. Had to go find someone else

This is a credit business, need to make an appointment in advance, the boss is an honest person.

My pellet stove stopped working, they're the only place in town that fixes them but they turned me down because they said they're not accepting new customers.

Bad Customer Service!
They start a job and never finish. They leave their garbage behind and don't own up to their own mistakes when you point them out. No empathy whatsoever; it’s like talking to a wall. I guess that’s how you run a business when you don’t have competition, and your services are required.
