We stayed at this lovely B&B after the ferry, and we highly recommend it! The friendly hosts created an excellent space for my sister and I and our 2 dogs. We had everything we needed and the place was very warm and welcoming!

If you are taking the ferry across call ahead and book one of these rooms! Moved from Alberta to Newfoundland and this was probably the best stays on my trip. They allow dogs to stay here which was the best part as the motel in town does not! Great beds, good food, very nice owners. Thank you.

This place is a gem and lives up to its kitschy name in the best way. Had an early morning ferry (4:30am lineup) and needed a pet friendly space for the night as local hotels are disappointingly non-pet friendly. It was right off the main road, super easy to find, a 6 minute drive to the ferry, cozy, spotless, had wifi, nice bedding, fresh towels, great water pressure, and some really cute and thoughtful details for someone travelling long hours. There was a little noise transfer into their main space - nothing major - silent after 9pm, and slight dampness, which is not surprising as it’s situated right in the Atlantic fog. It far exceeded my expectations and I’d stay here over a local hotel in a heartbeat. Thank you for accommodating us and thank you for the yummy treats!

Fantastic little spot for the night. Space was a little tight but was very clean and included a kitchenette. Nicely decorated. Online pictures don't do it justice. Has been renovated. Would definitely stay again.||Owners were so friendly and breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

We got stuck in Port Aux basques for 3 nights and we're lucky enough to come across this place at the last minute. It's a great place, the owners are great people and done everything to make us feel at home, had a nice room with a private bathroom, lots of space outside for our dog to run around. Would definitely recommend it to anyone, will definitely be going back if we ever need a place to go again 😊❤️ Thank you so much for letting us stay🥰

There were no windows in the bedroom, the fan was linked to the main light switch, so we removed the lightbulb in order to keep the ceiling fan on and have some kind of air circulation. Don't expect a nice view. We felt like it was part of a parking lot...
It's a good place just to wait for the morning ferry which is 5 minutes away.
The place was very clean and the bathroom spacious. There is also a small kitchen. Breakfast was ok. They offered fishcakes, eggs, bacon and toast Seconds were not offered though. Maybe we should have asked...

We stayed here overnight before catching the ferry to Nova Scotia. The B&B is a bit out of town in an industrial/commercial area about 5 minutes drive from the ferry terminal, but there is an outdoor patio where we enjoyed sunset despite the somewhat less-than-scenic surroundings. Both Jocelyn and George are hospitable, and provided a great recommendation for dinner in Margaree, as well as providing a lovely breakfast (eggs, bacon, toast, jam, juice, and freshly-baked muffins). The 2 bedrooms are small, but have private bathrooms and are nicely decorated and clean. Wifi access details were taped to the mirror in our room. There are only a couple of B&Bs in Port aux Basques, and we would stay here again.
