Didn’t give any warning to major work behind our house. When we asked them why didnt they warn they just said they should of, with an awful attitude. They said it would take 1 day to repair and its now been two weeks.

Top notch company to work for. Does incredible work. Great hired on trucks. One of the best road builders in Edmonton hands down. The only negative reviews you see are just ticked off local people who don't appreciate the construction this company does. I always enjoyed my years working along side this company. From their ground crews to their office staff. Fantastic company. Stay awesome SG.

Standard General was hired by our developer to make repairs and to finish the roads in our neighborhood as we live in a new development in Spruce Grove called Greenbury. When they first came in to our neighborhood they sent out a letter to all of the property owners informing them of the up coming road work. They were making repairs to sidewalks and driveways and explained that there would be some temporary inconvenience to residents. Then they put up signs saying no parking, the next thing we knew they had started to do paving! No warning to any of the residents, no notices sent out to tell us that we wouldn’t have access to our home or streets for over 9 hours on one day!!! Then when you call their office, leaving a message and send emails NO ONE RESPONDS!! Then after being out of my home for over 9 hours I try to gain access and one of the machine operators starts yelling and calling me names saying that “now you will have to wait longer to get into your house because you just f&@ked up my Road!!! “ I can’t believe there awful attitudes and work practices. I thought SG was better than that.

While doing road construction in our neighbourhood we had issues with workers entering our yard, using our out door water faucet, and operating and excavator with a jack hammer less than 6 feet from where two children stood. All this on the same day. This company has zero safety standards and operates in a very unprofessional way.
