I have mixed feelings about Dean. Initially he was responsive and worked efficiently to build an ICF foundation for us. Then he bailed on us 3 days before our RTM house was due to arrive. From what I understand he had some personal issues that meant he could not continue the work, but he had no crew who could help, offered no help finding someone else to do the work, and has not covered any of the costs associated with us having to find an alternative at the last minute. Some of his work on our driveway also does not meet county requirements. I am very disappointed with how things worked out, and would not recommend Challand Concrete.

Dean put in 3 basements for me when I was moving houses into Vulcan, Alberta to create up/down duplexes. He is amazing to work with and after 10 years the IFC basements are holding the test of time and have not caused me any issues what’s so ever. I highly recommend Dean and his company.

We hired Dean to do an IFC foundation and basement for a house we moved down from Calgary. The president of the house moving company (based out of Calgary) asked me who was building the foundation. When I told him it was Challand Concrete he said "in my 20 years' experience, Dean's the best in the business." That's coming from someone who sees house foundations all across Alberta!!

Dean's best-in-the-business work comes at an extremely fair price. Dean he is a consummate professional and takes care of his customers. For example, months after the job was finished, someone broke into our house by smashing a basement window. I called Dean to see if he could get a replacement, and he dropped everything to come out and install a new window so our house would be secure.

Our energy-efficient, flawlessly built foundation is the pride our our property. We lucked out to find Challand Concrete Construction, and cannot recommend them enough!

Dean Challand built the iCF foundation for our move-on house project this past summer . He and his crew know what they're doing. His price was excellent; he worked hard and quickly to meet our very tight deadlines; and he always answered our phone calls throughout a frustrating process with our house-mover and the county. We couldn't recommend him and his work more highly.
