Furnace tripped off. Left a message at Prides. He called back in a reasonable time and talked me through a minor reset, replaced filter and it fired up.

We had a bad experience with this service. Our sewer plugged so we had no bathroom. Called the office only to get a voicemail. Left a message and no reply. Called again in the morning and got the voicemail AGAIN. We are now on the 2nd day and no reply. Thank God we found someone that cares.

Plumbing with Pride installed a new furnace in my house in Nov 2022. Communication was very confusing. Two technicians did the work: one was excellent the other, Peter, was rude and obnoxious. They left on a Friday and said they’d come back to finish the job the next week. They didn’t return. I trusted that all was well because the furnace was heating properly. In December I started to get headaches several days per week. I’d wake up very groggy and with a headache. The headaches didn’t go away with medications. Then I was frequently dizzy and nauseous. I had tests and even an MRI to see what going on. Nothing. Frequently I’d wake up during the night and feel like I was falling into a black pit. If I tried to stand up, I’d fall into a wall, get really nauseous and vomit. Finally in January, I started experiencing horrible diarrhea. Four or more days per week, I couldn’t leave the house because of my bowels. I had tests done but all was normal.
During cold nights, I’d bring my dog into house to sleep. She slept by my bed. I noticed she started to be unwell. Dull, not active. Then one morning she was unable to stand, she turned in circles, she fell down the stairs when I took her to the vet. The vet couldn’t find anything wrong with her but she didn’t improve so we made the decision to end her suffering.
This Pasr month, 5 months after the install, I finally got the bill and I asked when the work was going to be completed. Peter and another guy came out and when Peter was changing the exhaust pipe on my roof, he told me it was to vent the heater properly. I asked if the exhaust was going into the basement all winter and he said “Probably “
I told my doctor, the vet, my family and friends, and all were shocked and told me I was lucky to be alive. I was being poisoned with carbon monoxide which was released into my basement due to improperly /Incompleted vent work. ATCO gas inspectors confirmed this as well when they came to inspect the installation.
I was sick for five months… the correct venting has been complete for ten days… my symptoms are all gone.
I will never trust Plumbing with Pride again. The owner, Pride, never came to inspect his employees’work and went to far (I have it in text) as to say I was ridiculous. Yes, I am consulting a lawyer.
