From the moment I had reached out to Mike and his team I’ve had the absolute best experience! Mike came over to get a feel of the lot as he had a blank canvas as it was a new build! He listened and we connected on a personal level as I am extremely busy and was looking for low maintenance, something I can come home and enjoy! Was generally unimpressed with the design process. We had asked for them to develop a plan for our front and back yard that we would be able to invest in over the course of a few years. The team didn’t visit our yard and only relied on google earth pictures and a few of our own photos of our yard. We asked for as many trees and plants from our yard to be incorporated into the plans. We wanted a low of maintenance as possible.

The initial plans didn’t incorporate our currents plants (which they would have had to see the yard to know what was there). Included a fountain and tons of new plants. When we asked what the plants were we were told they’d decided when the work was underway. Which wasn’t helpful since we’d told them we wanted to do some of the work ourselves. The new deck was just the same deck we had. They put a path through the dog run, which again they couldn’t see on the satellite pics.

The review of plan was done by zoom. Which made discussing it a challenge. They couldn't see where we were pointing and asking about. Finally they said we should print it out and sketch out what we wanted.

In the end we ended up with a list of services we could hire them for and no real plan. If that had been a free service then fine. But we’d specifically contracted them for a plan that we could do over a few years and do some work ourselves.

We found Eden Landscaping when walking around a neighbourhood and admired the design work. We decided to give them a call and we were wow'd by Mike's responsiveness. Mike worked with us to come up with a design that suited our style AND budget.

When it came time to get started on our yard, we continued to be impressed. Mike & his crew were highly dependable; arriving when they said they would, they were friendly, paid attention to detail, kept everything tidy, were flexible when we changed our mind about design elements, used the highest quality of materials and did great work! We had several neighbours let us know how impressed they were with not only our yard but how the crew respected the area they worked in.

We are thrilled that we decided to use Eden Landscaping - the quality of the workmanship is top notch (you get what you pay for) and Mike is a stand up guy. He does what he says he is going to do, takes pride in his work and crew and cares about creating a space you love.

Eden Landscaping did the landscaping on our new house in southwest Edmonton a couple of years back. It was a fairly complex piece of work based on our landscape design. Eden Landscaping did a fantastic job for a fair price. They also built part of our fence. Mike is a truly knowledgeable professional with very high standards and a strong attention to detail. He is also a fair business man. We constantly get compliments on our yard (landscaping), especially from our neighbors who went with lower end landscapers. Don't be cheap!

Eden Landscaping also firmly stands behind their work. Mike himself cam back to replace one of the trees he had planted that didn't do so well. I was pleasantly surprised that he did so without hesitation. He still continues to answer random question that we have from time to time, and he finished out yard more than two years ago!

We would recommend Eden Landscaping (and have done so) in a heartbeat to anyone who is looking for great craftsmanship at a fair price.

Mike completed our backyard landscaping almost 4 years ago. We LOVE our backyard. But here's the thing - 4 years later my wife contacted Mike out of the blue for help with a landscaping question unrelated to the initial build. Mike returned her call within minutes, and gave her great advice. No compensation, no contractual obligation, and he was still happy to help. Apart from his skill, he is a person of his word and he truly cares about his clients, present and past.
