Buyer beware, they may be ok at completing one of their cookie cutter designs as I cannot speak to that. But when it comes to a custom design they definitely fall short. Our initial visit we met the manager, who seemed knowledgeable and made a lot of promises that all seemed great at the time. After paying a deposit to begin our custom build process and waiting many months of back and forth as the design process took so long despite us basically spoon feeding them what we wanted in the first place things started to take a turn. The initial quotes we received were going against what we were originally told by the manager in terms of delivery and craning charges and upon confronting him directly about it the answer we got was "if I did say that it was a mistake" not even a sorry, or let's work out a deal to compromise. Then upon asking for a drawing showing the HVAC layout to provide our mechanical contractor performing the basement work and tie ins so they can provide an accurate quote we received a crudely hand drawn layout of the HRV system as can be seen in my attached image. They also began to pressure us at this time trying to force us into a contract before we could get bank approval because we were missing quotes due to not having adequate drawings to provide our other trades. We decided at this point to forfeit our deposit and go a different route for our build as we had no confidence that the incompetence we were beginning to see more and more of as time went on would not bleed into the build itself. If you are considering using this company still please make sure you get everything in writing before putting down any kind of deposit, this was our first mistake.

In response, "shortly after" was 1 month after asking for the drawings, and 2 weeks after the crude hand drawn sketch of the incorrect system.

buyer beware when dealing with these guys. They have a card printed at the front desk they hand out to people to get them to write a positive google review as soon as you walk in. That was the first red flag. Then it was pressure to sign a deal telling us we had to jump the line on the native housing orders that came in. We signed, paid our deposit and now we are told our house will be delayed months.

After researching several other builders, it was clear Modsolid was in a class of their own so they were the easy choice for us. As our home now goes to build I can also add that they not only excel in the quality of their builds but their customer service so far has also been just exceptional! Karin has done a terrific job assisting us with every detail and even helped us navigate through permit stages and any other red tape along the way. Thanks again for taking such good care of us, it's been much appreciated!!

My husband and I have been looking for a modular home for our lake lot without any success. As soon as we walked into the ModSolid office, we were greeted by Rob and his friendly staff. Rob showed us eight beautiful show homes directly on the lot and I was impressed and blown away by the quality and the finishes on all the homes. We went to the factory in Barrhead and Rob gave my husband and I a tour of the facility. We were amazed with the workmanship and their attention to detail was incredible. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient on answering our many questions from start to finish. We can’t wait to get our home delivered this summer!

We took a tour of the homes in both Acheson and Barrhead, as well as a factory tour in Barrhead. All sales representatives and factory staff were so friendly! They took their time answering our questions. The factory tour was just amazing. To see how they make their houses was incredible! The sales associate that took us around ensured that we got to see houses being built right from step one to being totally completed. Safety was their highest priority, ensured we had hard hats and eye protection on. I would highly recommend this company, and we are going to use them to build our dream home!

I purchased a home from Modsolid this year and I am extremely happy with my decision. The home I purchased is more stylish and modern than a typical modular home, and the price was very reasonable. I was able to get delivery, piles and installation, appliances and skirting included in the price as well. There was also no cheaping out on materials etc, the building is well-made.
Dan and Wanita were very helpful in getting things arranged even though some of our other contractors were pushing the scheduled work later and later. I was able to get moved in before winter which was really nice. And the best part is that I am still receiving quick communications when I have questions or need information. I would recommend purchasing from Modsolid/Northplex. 👍

We purchased a ModSolid home from Dan in March. We liked the design, layout and finishing (drywall). We received excellent support from them for site location, access, permit documents and overall logistics. They were excellent to work with. It was a very good experience for us.

While dealing with our county and the bank to develop our acreage was an absolute nightmare and I lost half the hair on my head from stress, dealing with Chase at Modsolid was a dream. He was so helpful and so patient throughout this entire process. I'll never be able to thank him and the Modsolid team enough!
Side note - I also wasn't supposed to be able to get pregnant. Turns out the first night we spent in our beautiful new home, I got pregnant. 10/10 recommend Modsolid homes!
