Even if you didn't know you needed help, I'm here to tell you that you do. Rob has helped me with two fairly large deck projects. From design/drawings, engineering and specs, through to permits. The process isn't always easy, but Rob makes it feel like it is. Easy to communicate with, and great service, Rob will always take the extra steps without hesitation. Highly recommend!

The absolute man. Rob helped get through months of permit deadlock, and after his involvement began our permit was issued within 10 business days. Our company takes on a variety of complicated residential renovations. We have used Rob and Seven Day Permits a number of times, and they have always delivered. This time around though, they went above and beyond to make our project a success. It was a very complicated project with a low chance of getting approvals from the city. It included a 3000sf rooftop patio and a main-floor dedicated suite in a residential home in Pump Hill. After our initial consultation with the city we were told that at best we might get approved to use around 700sf of the rooftop as a patio. However, after some months and a number of revisions, the Seven Day team was somehow able to convince the City that our project should be allowed to proceed. We are delighted that we were able to get an approval for both the suite and the full 3000sf patio. Thanks to Rob and team for their great work and patience through the long process. I would highly recommend them for any permit related work!

The owner, Rob Carpenter, visited my home for a site visit for a deck covering in May, 2024. Due to Rob's extensive experience with the City of Calgary Planning department, and his past experience in the construction industry, he told me that it was unlikely that my application for a development permit would be approved, thus saving me from paying for a costly development permit application that would not be approved. My rep with the company making the deck covering had not told me this. Thank heavens that Rob is a professional who knows the guidelines and knows what he is doing in his business. I found Rob to be very knowledgeable about the permit process, honest, ethical, professional in his dealings, and someone I could trust. I highly recommend Rob and his company for drafting and permitting. Hire him - you'll be very pleased with the service he provides.
