Having lived in our new place constructed by Kindred now for a year, I can say they did an A1 job in all aspects of the construction of our Condo. A significant part of the construction took part while BC was still coming out of all the COVID restrictions and it was a challenge with workers, supply chains and coordinating it all with the city. The design is well thought out, and the finishes while modern also have a homey feel to them. Their attention to detail is apparent with only very small and minor deficiencies, which were fixed promptly. Yes I would purchase a Kindred constructed home again.

I live at The Main in Squamish that was completed April 2020. It is a new build, not even 4 years old. The deficiencies were never 100% repaired and we have had roof and pipe leaks since it was built. At this point, we have 3-4 leaks weekly. Not to mention, we are living with only 1 elevator, as one of the leaks damaged the other elevator. We are now forced to replace all of our hot water pipes and enter into litigation because no one is taking responsibility for their actions, despite it being covered in our 2-5-10 warranty. This is my second pre-sale purchase and I have never experienced such poor construction, poor communication, poor integrity and lack of professionalism. Do not work with Kindred.

Kindred was exceptional to deal with with on our previous projects . We are a small Hotel and Restaurant company in Vancouver and Whistler. Kindred was our general contractor that handled the full new build of forage restaurant and the redo of Timber. Bryan and his team were very responsive to our company needs and schedules, when something did not go as expected (which happens) Kindred responded and we were able to move forward to completion. They were completely fair to deal with and were always available.

We moved into a building build by Kindred for Wanson. From the pre move in inspection there were major concerns, but were advised everything would be sorted in time. In 8 months nothing further has been repaired. Clearly the building was a huge rush to complete and unfortunately trades were not supervised whatsoever. We bought in large part due to the solid reputation of Kindred in the trade community but this appears to be for other departments and their multi family group is not the same fine folk. We have loved in the building for 8 months and there have been effectively zero work on deficiencies other than some terrible painting that did more damaged than they fixed. We have uneven floors, ceilings are all sagging visibility, chipped floors, visually unlevel dry wall on closets, appliances I had to re install myself, unpainted areas, missmatxhed spinkler heads even.

Kindred have multiple times left full sets of keys unsecured, the outdoor lights continues to burn out lights with entire floors lights no longer working. Many doors were installed backwards with accessible button and fob access on the wrong side, holes cut in the wrong area and left open in common halls and fire stairwells.

I reached out to kindred via the email left on another review multiple times to give a fair chance to respond before posting a bad review many months ago have only received a response that my email was passed along to a VP and subsequently blown off. Kindred needs to decide if they should even bother trying to build Muti family buildings because they do not appear to have the staff and expertise. Worse is lack of communication as this requires no skill to respond to their clients. If you are thinking about buying anything with Kindred as general contractor, reconsider!

We have worked closely with Kindred on many projects, with the most recent one being an 8,000sf high-end home consisting of a custom renovation + new addition. They are professional in all regards, including their handling of unexpected changes. The superintendents take the time necessary to fully understand the scope of the work and keep the momentum of a project moving forward regardless of any setbacks or changes to the scope. Where major issues do arise, the team is able to work cohesively and constructively with the consultants and stakeholders to overcome complex design elements while still keeping to a strict budget and best practices.
