I'm 6 weeks into a council renovation. I work nightshift and asked for an approximate guide/timeline and got nothing.
I moved my bins to the front of my property to save them being trapped in my garden due to the scaffolding. So now a skip has been put against them giving me no access to my bins (they could've easily been moved to the other side of the front garden)
For the last week I've had wood with huge nails from my roof discarded in the front garden - I have now put it into the skip. Every week I have to sweep the access and around my property and lift all the plastic sheeting, discarded rubbish, juice cans/bottles, cigarette butt's (no one in our house smokes) A scaffolding post is directly outside of the back door giving no access.
They've been using my outside tap to work on neighbouring houses - what would they do if I didn't have one?
I had to contact a manager at the company this week due to one of the workers, shouting, swearing, offering someone in the street a fight while outside my window - it was either that or the police! It has been so much worse than anticipated. It is very intimidating in a morning, trying to do the school run while the group of workies gather at your front. I'm very tired and everything has slowed down. My house is constantly dark with the windows covered which has to happen but it shouldn't be happening for such a long length of time. I cannot wait to see the back of this disrespectful company.

Avoid at all costs, as per many other reviews they were doing windows, solar panels and heating in council properties. Rude, did work to their own timelines aka whenever they feel like, intimidated occupants, no respect for belongs and poor workmanship all round.

Absolute shambles of a company. Doing cladding and cavity wall in my village including my house. They take MONTHS to complete one house as they only work a couple hrs at a time then vanish for a few weeks. They've ruined gardens. Leaveess in the street, don't clean up after themselves, Used my garden as a storage unit without permission. Turn up whenever they want. Left saw blades in the grass in my garden and to top it all, prompting this review, turned up at 845 on a SUNDAY MORNING and started to use an electric saw through Metal, when they haven't even been here for weeks! Absolute clown-show of an organisation. DO NOT USE!

I can confirm the comments before me. The local council hired this company to renovate several blocks in my street (roofing, insulation.) The work was started six months ago, but they have stopped and disappeared. A third block was recently started. The work they did on our building took them half a year to complete, but on the third block they finished the same job just in 1 month! This is probably because most of the time the workers do nothing but walk around on the scaffolding, with a hammer in their hand, hammering on random places to make noise, and their boss think they are working. I have observed this several times. Tenants who work in the afternoon or at night shift jobs have their schedules completely disrupted, because there's no rest for them. The workers arrive every morning around 8am, start working as loudly as possible for 10-15 minutes: they start hammering on the walls and scaffolding in random places, go up on the scaffolding talking loudly, often with a radio in hand to make sure they wake all the residents. When they have finished making 15 minutes of noise and everyone is awake, they disappear for hours. For two days they worked inside the building, where they built a wall to replace the old roof door: the job was completed in 1 day, but they spent a second day there. They didn't do anything all day, nothing changed from the first day, but their radio was turned on all day loudly as possible. Imagine the tenants trying to sleep after a night shift! Not only their attitude to the peace and quiet of the residents is "quite excellent" and "empathetic", but also the quality of their work: they pierced my ceiling with a steel rod and soaked two of my rooms.

If the local council starts similar work on your house, run away: move somewhere else for the next six months, because the stress this company causes is not worth it. Not only their work is unprofessional, but they have no empathy or respect towards the residents.

They are doing cladding, windows and solar panels in our village on council housing. Poor workmanship, ruining gardens and instead of doing and finishing a couple of houses they half do them and disappear for weeks and then if you are lucky, come back to do more. The solar panels are put into roofs instead of on top of the tiles, bad news altogether. Wouldn't let me give zero stars

Local council had this joke of a company in to do gas servicing. My appointment was for 3.45pm on the 26th January so I made sure I was home ready from 3.15 and then no 1 turned up. I've now had the council state they would do a forced entry on my property and I've to pay for the locks etc unless I make a new appointment which I have but this time with the council. I called precast to be told that I wasn't in the property at that time when their worker came to do the servicing however they very quickly backtracked and said they were unsure why the engineer didn't turn up after I said I have cameras on my property which records everyone who comes onto our path and no one did that day except myself, my sons and my husband and asked if they wanted the footage forwarded onto them. So funny listening to them trying to come up with excuses after that. This isnt the 1st year weve had issues when theyve been employed to do the gas servicing either. Would have given no starts if that was an option.

Thanks for this one, NL Council. Greatly appreciate it. NOT.

Scaffolding/skip in place for about 2 months now. In that time, workers have been out on only a handful of occasions, each time being obnoxiously loud, shouting/swearing and with music blaring. No regard for property or tenants. Roof left exposed and without tiles, causing random bangs/rattling from attic space at all hours, which naturally terrifies my stepkids and leads to sleeplessness. Apprehensive to even go up and see the state it's in, given how dreadful it looks from the street alone. I have a dog who is not only petrified of the racket being made, but also has regularly had to have items of debris pulled from her mouth that workers have carelessly discarded all over the garden (the one she has any access to- and even then, scaffolding placement means the gate cannot be shut, leaving the space unsecure). Gutters have been broken, as well as a pipe running from our bathroom to the outside of the house, causing a risk to health due to sanitation issues. Not at all the kind of stress you want at 6 months pregnant and, if other reviews are anything to go by, this will be an ongoing issue for some time to come. Heavily unimpressed. Wish I'd had the option to say 'thanks but no thanks'.
