Would not recommend. Stay away.

Whytes was paid close to $12,000 to install brand new eaves, leaf guard and repair fascia for the whole house in the fall of 2021. Problems started less than a year after installation. Like pulling teeth trying to get them to come back and fix. This Spring more issues, downspout overflowing and water pouring out under the eaves. After several unsuccessful attempts were made to get them to come down and repair things, I had no choice but to hire someone else last month to do the work. Found out why I was having so many problems: Five of the eaves installed were too short. (see attached photos) None of the corners were caulked when installed so all leaking and all four had to be replaced. Downspouts were just sitting on leaf guard and not fastened to anything so were plugging up. Also found out the leaf guard Whytes installed doesn’t have clips so can’t be removed to maintain the gutters. The troughs would have to be completely removed from the house for cleaning/repairs. Whytes also never bothered to put any flashing where they removed old trough leaving everything exposed. (See attached photos)

We hired Martin's company to install a fence a few years ago when no one else would do it. It was covid so everyone was busy but Martin took the job and did it very well. They did a great job at a fair price.

Move forward a couple of years and we planned a large addition. We didn't hire Martin given the reviews we heard. Instead, we hired the fella that everyone recommended. This included multiple building inspectors in the area and staff at construction suppliers as well as most of the people we know. EVERYONE said this fella would do a better job than Martin. That fella did a piss poor job on absolutely everything... addition is an inch shorter than the house, concrete fell apart, turns out the electrical service is insufficient but no one bothered to tell us... they just said what we wanted wasn't possible, siding was installed so that it would rott everything it touched, and brand new windows were installed that let more drafts in than the ones we replaced. All because of the installation (NO INSULATION WHAT SO EVER AND THE WRONG SIZE we're ordered...TWICE...the second time they were ordered wrong, they just decided to install them anyway so they could get on to the next job), finally, the drywall work was horrid.

This spring, we hired Martin's crew. They fixed all of the highly recommended fella's crappy work... and they did it PERFECTLY!! All this was done at a more than fair price.

Martin is the only contractor I will ever hire in Lanark County again. THANK YOU MARTIN!! It's nice to work with someone who cares about quality.

Can't say enough positive remarks about Whyte's Maintenance, we had a fence built a few years ago and now in our new home they built a pre fab shed we bought.They went the extra mile and did a great job! We highly recommend Whyte's and give a 5 star plus!

We were given a contract of 200cm or 20 snow clearing. And 2 months in they say we have had over 200cm fallen this year so now they charge 73$ plus tax per plow!! And we already paid 1000 for the season. They go by Ottawa snow fall amount too..... and we are Perth. And they don't plow unless there's more than 5cm.... so imagine if all this 200cm was from falls less than 5cm.... free money!!
I don't recommend.

We had a property maintenance person doing our property for over 27 years and always thought he did a good job. This year he retired so we had to find someone to fill his shoes. We called Whytes Maintenance, they were prompt to come out and quote us .. we agreed and they started taking over. We couldn't be more satisfied. In fact anyone who comes to visit always comment about how good the place looks and the lawn is in great shape.
We would never have known had our previous people no retired, but we wish them all the satisfaction that retirement brings them and we are very satisfied that Whytes are our new people.

Had over 3 bush cords of firewood delivered in early October from them. When purchasing I asked “Is it dry enough for this season?“ and was told yes. Now I have 3 bush cords of WET firewood in my drive shed and no where to put any dry wood. When I called to tell them I was basically told “no one else has complained” and it’s my own fault for not buying it sooner. Stay clear unless you don’t need it for a couple of years.

MARKED Ultimate Family Adventure Park has been using their service since we opened in 2016 for all our Salt & Sand needs for our park. They are always extremely responsive, on time and reasonably priced.

Highly recommend for anyone in the area that needs winter service.
