We could not be happier with our BLD home. We looked extensively at other builders as well as resale properties..... builders that we originally considered front runners, eventually paled in comparison to the build quality and value added options presented by BLD. Their commitment to using local trades and the highest quality of workmanship observed, trumped everyone else. Even though the spec homes come full of extras, there was still room to negotiate some features and changes such that we really felt we were getting our dream home. Specifically the entire process of working with Troy as the lead sales person, was nothing but a pleasure and easy. We would only recommend BLD to anyone looking for a high end quality home.

Just an update to original review. October 2023

We had heard that others in our neighborhood were showing elevated levels of radon gas. So, I purchased a radon detector and I performed a long term test (3 months) and I did indeed have high radon levels. I spoke to Troy at BLD Homes and he immediately contacted their mechanical contractor to come out and install a radon mitigation fan. Only 72 hours after the installation my radon levels drastically dropped from over 600 Bq/m3 to less than 10 Bq/m3 which is far below the provincial allowable level of 200 Bq/m3. Thanks to Troy and the BLD Homes team for their quick response and as a bonus they also picked up the cost of the fan and installation too!
Just another why I'm glad we bought a BLD home.
