These folks are great! Les and his staff are professional, knowledgeable, and took time out of those busy workday to explain how the systems I was having trouble with worked and how to diagnose and fix the issues.
We were stranded when the alternator on the diesel engine on our sailboat quit working and Les talked me though a number of tests over the phone and then explained how to remove the unit so I could bring it in for bench testing.
Highly recommend!

I have written hundreds of reviews and given many 5 stars. This review places O'Rourke Electric well above 5 stars. Les Purcell, the owner, has been amazing to us, going over and above in supporting our electrical, septic and multiple plumbing needs. I truly am not sure that there are many individuals in the market willing to reach out and assist with problem solving in the way Les does. He's honest, incredibly fair and treats everyone like his own family. I have no reservations with recommending O'Rourke Electric as the number one choice for all your plumbing and electrical needs in cottage country. More than happy to act as a reference for Les if needed.

Had issues with a marine windlass this weekend. Figured I was into replacing the whole thing which is very expensive. Decided to pull the motor and have it looked at by O’Rourkes. Wow, what incredible service. They looked at it while I waited and determined it was stuck brushes. Had it fixed within the hour and I was on my way. Can’t recommend them more highly. Very knowledgeable and friendly.

Super knowledgeable, selling high quality products that the big box stores don't even stock. They'll happily walk you through what needs doing, and customize the set up to meet your needs. They sold me a water pump for my cottage and gave me great install advice. Best of all the owner is about as personable as they come, an absolute delight to deal with.

They will take the time out of their day to explain EVERYTHING!!!! They never try to up sell you on anything and that's amazing as I am not educated in their field. It is so reassuring to have their time and knowledge at your disposal. I have gone in and the staff has solved my problem for me by talking it out and finding a solution for $5 when they could have easily sold me thousands of dollars in equipment and more installation and solved the exact same problem. A company that is willing to take a loss in profit in the short term is a rare thing and it's so seldom that they want to build a relationship of trust, honesty and respect. If you go anywhere else that's your choice but you are only doing a disservice to yourself.
