If you're looking to hire 12 guys to build a picnic table and take 8 months to compete the job .....then this is your team!

The incompetence of this construction company is mind numbing. 18 months and they have still NOT completed a 1.2 km or 1200 meter section of roadway!? And J-AAR's rebuttal in the negative comments section is a classic scripted ..."The timeline, beginning late in 2022 and extending into 2024, is as per our strategic planning. We're pleased to inform you that the project is on track and expected to complete well under the Region's budget". They will then go on about their 40+ years in the industry, blah blah blah.

I think I speak for 99% of Canadians when I say that we're tired of the incompetence. We're tired of the corruption, where contractors are given sweetheart deals with ZERO accountability. 18 months later and they have the road down to a single lane in each direction and have almost no workers around completing a LONG over due simple 1200 meter construction job. And what about the local businesses?!?!?! Imagine the negative impact
J-AAR construction has had on all these businesses. The smugness of the engineer or whoever does the commenting for this joke of a company is unreal. "Forget about the local business, it's all about us dragging out a project for as long as humanly possible!".

I would suggest to J-AAR construction, that they limit their projects to something within their capabilities..... something like building sandboxes in parks, birdhouses or something along simpler lines. Don't take on projects when you haven't got the manpower to do so.

There were so many more reputable companies who could have completed this project in less than half the time but hey........ "gotta get those hours in for poggie eh boys!"

Our experience with J-AAR has been great. They are doing a huge construction project on Cavendish Cr. Major disruptions to all who live here, but all the employees of this company have gone the extra mile to lessen the inconvenience for us. All in all they are doing a great job and we appreciate their continued commitment to make it a little easier. Thank you all.

These guys sit around all day n do nothin. They’re doing some excavating all through my city but there isn’t a moment where 4-10 people just on my property which ain’t even where their job site is. It’s across the st. They have absolutely no respect for other people. These guys physically use my outside seating n leave their trash everywhere, they like to clean and sweep out all the garbage and debris from the trucks and trailers in my parking lot which is shared between my unit and the unit across the parking lot so we can’t even park or are constantly cleaning up their messes and don’t even get me started on the fact that my car and the neighbours 3 cars were magically hit in multiple spots n covered in black paint scratches and dust

This company has been and currently still is reconstructing our street (Barker St). They have been nothing but polite, professional and quick!. It's obvious when watching them that they all work exceptionally well together and every one of them has a job and knows how to do it. My son and I have enjoyed watching the big machines and he gets a kick out of when they beep at him when they drive by. The communication has been big for us. They always let us know days in advance when they plan on paving or having to close part of the street etc.

Well done J-AAR and thank you.

Team J-AAR have each been a pleasure to deal with summer 2024!

The team has been executing a major project and they have gone out of their way to do their best to be courteous and really limit the inconvenience to residents that comes along with a project this size of which my family is genuinely grateful for. They've gone above and beyond.

Can't wait to see how it looks when its done!!

King St east construction kitchener… started late fall 2022 just before winter, only to do very Minimal work of 1 month work before “winter shutdown”. Could of easily made a center turning lane functional even with curbs removed. Now fast forward all the brutal Daily traffic delays including the new road closure at gateway park drive without warning, in one of the busiest change overs from 401 in city from London/windsor into kitchener, Preston, and the etc with projection completion 2024, no push or drive to finish asap, just milking government contracts to make as much money as possible. Even with all new unground infrastructure, project could of been done in a year with winter work. Review should be 0.

We had work done on our street this summer. Awesome employees.. They were very professional and considerate with all of the construction going on. If I ever need any projects done, J-arr will definitely be the first place I contact..

King St N in Kitchener is a total nightmare. Weeks on end nobody’s working, when they do show up it’s 8-5 with a minimal crew? Maybe if Costco sends a complaint to the city something might get done.
